I didn't say he was a tough guy, I think he would win between the two of them.  Maybe you want to see if I am tough guy, I'll be your huckleberry,  before you put words in my mouth, Jsaad.

Talk about "putting words in mouth", you're going at the wrong person, tough guy.
At the wrong person who was responding to a different poster to boot.

At this point I feel like I should connect this tiff to Kevin Bacon.

Oh yeah Fafnir? Maybe Kevin Bacon wants to connect this to YOU!...and your FACE! Tough guy!

Am I the only one not getting the "huckleberry" reference? Doh!

It's from Tombstone. Doc Holiday says it. When he says it in that movie, its awesome.

Ah. The bulk of the westerns that I've seen contain Wayne or Eastwood.

If you haven't seen this one then RUN to the video store and pick it up. It is one of the greatest films of all time IMO. If you like Westerns at all you won't be dissapointed. If you don't, you still probably will love it.

maybe a bit of a stretch. how about this: it's one of the greatest bad movies of all time.

the film is legendary for kilmer's portrayal of doc holliday.

but the love dana delaney / kurt russell love scenes are some of the worst ever created -- yet somehow they fit the movie like an absolute glove.

heck, the same is true for almost all of russell's scenes. he's terrible / great across the whole movie. sometimes it's good to be hokey.

I can absolutely get on board with that. Great explanation.

How can Glen Davis be a tough guy, he's nothing but a Big Baby anyway. Just kidding, you know, basketball at times has to be a physical game. Last night with Nene is not one of those times. BBD did exactly the right thing! He baited Nene into what should be a suspension. Now, that being said, if Nene had knocked Rondo head over heels while Rondo attempts a layup (which for some reason the league doesn't seem to think should be a flagrant b/c they are supposedly making a play on the ball) then it's worth it. Remember Parrish decking Laimbeer. Was that worth it? You better believe it was.

No, EJ was correct. There is nothing bad about that movie. Those love scenes were trietory to the movie at best, and actually i don't think they were that bad they were trying to portray how courting went back then.

Guys didn't just hit on a girl and she'd jump their bones like all other westerns. At least not a "women of quality" like she was portraying. They were also playing up that Wyatt was trying to toe the line between his obvious attraction and his duty to his wife as their marriage fell apart.

Also this is my favorite time he uses the line :D

That's not really fair.  TOMBSTONE is an okay Western.  People just judge it harshly because Kilmer is doing his own, much better movie about Doc Holliday in the middle of it.

My money is on Glen winning that fight.   Luckily it didn't come to that and seeing Glen suspended.

Both he and Nene are PRETEND tough guys. My money is on both of them dancing around like they did waiting to take a cheap shot on each other hoping the teammates and refs get in the middle of it quickly so no real damage is done. If they were really tough guys they'd have been throwing blows instead of touching foreheads. Nene though looked like a bigger fool with his head butt miss!

So real tough guys would have been morons and gotten suspended for a large chunk of games by punching each other out on national TV?

I'm glad Baby's not a real tough guy then.

I'm definitely glad he's not a tough guy either. It shows he has matured and maybe in a little bit of control of his emotions which hasn't always been the case.

What I meant, was that I find it funny we are sitting there talking about who would win in a fight when it was very clear neither one of them had any desire to actually throw down. Fake toughness out there on the floor is a joke. Either walk away with your hands in the air like KG does so the refs know you don't want any part of a scuffle, or get to throwin. We all know some of our favorite highlights in Celtic history were the fights between Bird and McHale and Rambis and Kareem. They didn't do the chicken dance. They had at it!

Then they were stupid.  Come on, look at the animal world;  the chicken dance, as you call it, is exactly how most animals resolve their conflicts  -->  it's not just for chickens.  The notion that real courage equates instant escalation is a form of (possibly uniquely) human insanity.

I get what your saying, but i don't think it's "unquie" to humans.

most natural large animal, specifically but not only predator, deaths occur during mating or dominance rituals. most of those escalate pretty quickly too

and really, what is a bar fight if not a mating/dominance ritual :D

I m even more confused, I came to thread to see some praise for my Ray-Ray after bit of down strech (7-8 games under 20 points) and all I got was a feeling I m in a bar full of tough guys watching "so bad its good" western:)
