8 for 8 from the floor, including a 3-pointer.  3 for 3 from the line for 20 points.  He also had 17 assists.  Congratulations, Steve Nash on your perfect game.  (played against the Wizards, 12/5/10)

Its truly amazing watching Steve Nash play basketball. He really deserves those mvp awards cause he makes every one around him better... I mean he is making Hakim Warrick look like an All Star this season. He is such good shape too, I could see him playing at a decently productive level (starter or not) for another 4+ years even...

ha ha ha...nit picking! I didn't see the game.  Let's blame the turnovers on someone else....either his potential targets misplayed, or defensive interference, ha ha ha.

Very good point, i don’t know how something could be considered a complete game with 2 TO’s

Eh, he's a very good player and future HOFer, but he doesn't belong in the same breathe as other back-to-back MVP winners. He never sniffed a Finals and is obviously getting further and further from one. He is more of a product of their system (or is he the reason for Phoenix' system?) and it has proven season after season to fail.

Great playmaker and shooter, but below average at just about everything else. But he is definitely very impressive at his age and is not slowing down all that much.

Nice regular season game versus the Wizards, but it's no Scott Wedman performance; Game 1 of the NBA Finals versus the Lakers, 11 for 11 with 4 three-pointers!
In certain extreme situations, the law is inadequate. In order to shame its inadequacy, it is necessary to act outside the law. To pursue... natural justice. This is not vengeance. Revenge is not a valid motive, it's an emotional response. No. Not vengeance. Punishment.

So what...Gasol had a perfect game just this season with 28 points on 10/10 shooting (along with 8/8 from the line, 9 rebounds, 5 assists) vs. Nash's 8/8.

Barnes also had a game where he was perfect at 7/7 (5/5 three-pointers).

Not saying it's not a great performance, though. Nash impressed me a lot last year with his clutch, ballsy play.

This is always a fantastic debate. This system can work but it never really synergized for them as far as players coming together and being healthy at the right time. It doesnt help that Phoenix sold their 1st round pick like 10 thousand years in a row.

D'Antoni in NY is a good test if this system can work. That ownership will pony up the dough to pay players when they become available.

3 WCFs that were competitive is sniffing the Finals in my book.

Nash lucked into turning around a bad franchise and the fact that people were:

1. Bored of giving it to Duncan/Shaq
2. KG's and Kobe's team mates were horrible those two years.
3. LeBron/Howard weren't quite ready.

He also lucked into the team he turned around losing its other best player and staying at a high level the next season.

Steve Nash was never the best player in the league, but I absolutely believe he was the most valuable for that stretch.  The Suns wouldn't have made the playoffs without him, and with him were title contenders.

What I meant by "lucked" is that he had such a big improvement. Beating expectations is how you get awards like MVP, Coach of the Year, etc...

If you just meet them it can be hard to win media awards.
