All Star Game in Boston???

im wondering...why cant the NBA all star game be in Boston?
LA has it this year again. they had it back in 04 too.
and next year its gonna be in Orlando.

Why would they host the All-Star game in a cold/snowy climate?

All-Star games are usually in warm wealther states that can bring in alot of income to the surrounding area.

LA/Orlando/Phoenix/Dallas etc.

They also had one in Vegas which was huge. Everyone and their mother was talking about going to Vegas for the all-star game, not even to attend the game, just to be there for the clubs, parties.

They had it in MSG not too long ago (1998). NYC is not THAT much different than Boston in terms of weather.

The bigger concern is the size of the city. Some believe it is too small to host an NBA ASG and accompanying festivities. I never heard any complaints about the MLB ASG in '99, so I don't know how valid a reason it really is.

It isn't fair to the fans and cities of cold weather teams. Maybe New York getting the Superbowl will open the doors for the northern states.

I'm betting it will be the 100th ASG to commemorate and "bookend" the first.
