Would he have dared to open his yap in front of the Celts bench like he did in front of Cleveland bench last night?

I like to imagine what would've happened.  I have an image in my mind of Laurence Frank trying to hold back KG and Shaq; everyone standing and barking non-stop (even Semih) and all hell breaking loose, with nate landing a flying elbow. 

Whitlock got it right; Lebron is a bully and picks on the crap teams in the league.  Wouldn't dare try it with Celtics.

Can't wait to see the enforcing job Perk and Shaq will do together later in the year.  Shaq's keeping up the tradition of hard fouls.

Would he have dared? absolutly not.. there aint many that has messed with the Celtics without getting alot back in return.

That said, i love the fact that LeBron is acting like a bully against lesser oposition.. you cant not love something like that when you have a love infatiuation with Larry Bird saying you dislike the fact that he's doing it, is in my mind the same as saying you disliked the fact that Larry talked trash in the same sitiuation.

Its basketball, and trashtalking and pecking orders are apart of it.

IMO Shaq is the first Celtic to give hard fouls since Lusktov was playing for us in the 80's.  I love Perk but don't let the scowl and the barking fool you, despite his reputation as a tough guy he's not a physical player, and he doesn't send message fouls.

I also can't imagine we'll see much of Perk and Shaq playing together, since they both a pretty useless outside of 6 feet offensively.  It will be fun to have a solid rebounding team once Perk returns as our 2nd string center tho 

P.S. to the OP, I'm no LeBron apologist but it WAS his former team after all.  It's not like he was just talking trash to some random team's bench...

I seriously doubt it, although his level of arrogance has surprised me more than once in the past. It would be interesting to see what would follow!

I think it was a friendly conversation with Daniel Gibson, guys. They're apparently still friends. It just shows that Lebron is not serious the way KG is... Spolestra had a point.

Edit: I guess according to ESPN, I'm wrong. But it looked friendly to me?

I laughed when I first heard about this.

Lebron did go to CLE and had a really good game, to say the least.

But then he woke up the next morning - and realized that MIA is what? 1 - 7 against the Quality teams.

Lebron doesn't impress me, in the least. If/When MIA gets through us, CHI, or ORL in the Playoffs and meet LA, then maybe he can talk trash.

Well, I would hope the C's would do the right thing and give him sh*t in the very least, on in my ultimate hopes - knock him on his butt.  But with today's sports players, who knows?  They would probably exchange cookie recipes.  The fraternization before games makes me sick.  In my opinion, the ONLY acceptable fraternization is a "good game handshake" after the game.  Period.  Anything else is incest.

I think you had it right and the Cleveland players are trying to cover for themselves now that the city didn't appreciate their fraternizing.
