Unlike many of the fans, KG believed in Him since Day1. Remarkable transformation. Its only his fourth year, I think he make another leap. One more piece to the puzzle for the future.

Eh, this is not a KG appreciation thread.  KG is not responsible for Glen's play.  Glen was an excellent player in college and showed signs as a rookie.  It was just a matter of translating his game to the NBA.  I'm not saying KG didn't help him, but he would have been a good player regardless.

Back to Baby.  He has been awesome! Pretty good post moves, he's rebounding and shooting well again now that his knee feels better, playing great defense.  He's even blocking shots and shooting 3's.   Great to see the kid work on his game and keep improving.  He's proving all those people wrong who said he reached his ceiling.  He's getting better and better.

I agree though in part that KG has helped him along the way.  BBD is like a big kid ( there has never been a more apt nickname ) at heart.  He needed some of that tough love to keep his eye on the prize.  He couldn't have had a better mentor.  But as mentioned all that mentoring will only take you so far and his natural athletic ability is what showing through now.

As a short fat guy I cant help but root for BBD.  His perimeter game has improved, he is unafraid to drive amongst the trees in the lane, sometimes too unafraid.  With the injuries to perk, shaq, and JO he has been a constant force off the bench.  I wish he could find a way to play some 3 and really be a truly diverse player, but I dont think he could handle the athletic wingman on the perimeter.

I remember reading in Sports Illustrated's ratings of the available draft picks that year a description of Big Baby that went something like: If he continues to have the weight problems that he had his last year at LSU he is probably a mid second round talent in this draft, if he gets himself in shape and continues his development from the previous year he is a top 10 talent in this draft.

oh yes....the thread....photo got me off track onto my awe for KG.  I've always liked Baby.  For a while I thought he wouldn't stick with the C's due to maturity, but he's all grown up, or almost, now.  Wasn't a blogger yet, but before the draft that year I saw him slated for the second round and predicted he'd be a player whose value would exceed his draft position.  I think I felt that way due to his speedy footwork despite great size.  He seemed nimble enough to slink his way into a good career.
