I feel bad for the fans of Cleveland who are left with that junk on the court.

In the end, Lebron's going to be fine.

Even if Lebron doesn't end up with an NBA title he will still have had a wonderful career, boat loads of money and a great chance to win the NBA title.

The Cavs franchise, I can't see any of that in their future.

When the Cavs' losses keep piling up, fans will QUIT in their support of their basketball team hatred for Lebron and the Cavs franchise will lose even more tons of money, still have no NBA titles and have a zero chance to win that title.

Cavs fans should just give themselves a good cry...move on...and save their energy to pick themselves back up, not use that energy to hate.

I dont get how you can feel bad for Lebron. Even before he turned his back on the Cavs he was an arrogant, cocky, player who gave up on his team in clutch situations. You can tell he is just looking for the money and fame, and doesnt seem to care about winning or a team environment at all. He is just not a likeable or classy player, whines his way out of everything, and breaks the rules. He tries to run teams and fit things to his likings... How can you root for him or feel bad for him?

Compare him to a guy like Durant who is a class act, likeable guy, that has built a brotherhood in OK City...

The whole way things worked out this summer just underscores that this 25 year old guy's world view is more like that of an adolescent than a grown up, and that he doesn't have a grown up who can act as an advisor to reign him in and help him navigate complex issues.

That observation might be important, as building an NBA franchise around someone without grown-up level insight can present some challenges.

Looking back, he was annointed as a team leader because he was a good player, not because he was a leader.  The Cavs would have been better advised to keep a few stronger veteran personalities in the locker room in those early years (thinking Gary Payton, etc.)--someone he might learn something from in an indirect way.  Instead, they provided an environment that further cultivated a sense of entitlement and superiority before he was mentally able to handle it.

And so this is what we get.  It's a bit like hating the child you raised for the man he didn't become, when the parent should take some responsibility.

Maybe it's my fault.  Maybe I led you to believe it was easy when it wasn't...

Lebron is still a kid and he is surrounded with other kids running around and advising him on how to run his "kingdom".

Lebron made some poor decisions last summer, but it is over with and everyone and their mother needs to move on.

  • It's all about the TEAM!
I feel bad for Cleveland. I feel bad because the Cavs let Lebron have the game of his season so far. Let him smile and ham it up like he was rubbing their noses two more feet further into it. I didn't like how he talked smack to the Cavs as they sat on the bench and he paraded in front of them. I feel bad that Cleveland's team didn't hard foul him three or four times. I think it would have been worth it to take a couple of Technicals and get thrown out the game making sure you wiped that smile off his face. The whole town would have loved it. I feel bad that Cleveland didn't have the fight in them to make him stop smiling. I feel bad what Cleveland is left with. I think this is worst than The Drive or The Fumble or The Move or The Hit. I think Cleveland learned to live with those things. I feel bad for them because Lebron made them believe they could win and praised him all the way to heaven just so he could say "you're not good enough and I'm taking my talents to South Beach". I feel bad for the fans of Cleveland that Lebron didn't take some shoulders and elbows to the chest. His dancing around and smiling just further tortured their fans. Cleveland fans deserve better. Unfortunately, they are sitting there just plain heartbroken and for that reason, I can't help but to feel sorry for Cleveland.

Yeah, however there is still a little chance that the Cavs can sneak back into the 8th seed in the playoffs.
