Quote from: Ball Don'T lie
The Lakers are in the midst of a four-game losing streak, which as we all know means that they have to "hunker down" and "mean business" if they want to get back on the right track. In short, they need to get serious, because only serious men can win in sports. Just ask Derek Anderson.

Ron Artest(notes) has apparently not received this memo. After last night's 109-99 loss to the Rockets, Ron-Ron decided to have some fun with his old radio friends in Houston. So he called into the unofficial Rockets post-game show on 1560 The Game and pretended to be Luis Scola.

Funny. He is crazy...in a good way though. Interesting character.

Careful Laddie, these words could get you lynched in some corners.  He is a Laker.

He's an idiot. This is from Yahoo's quote selecton on LeBron's return to Cleveland:

Quote
“I don’t know. He set a lot of records there. He took them to their first championship ever. They might appreciate him I think.”—Los Angeles’ Ron Artest(notes).

Why is he an idiot?  You can take a team to their first Super Bowl or Final Four, but it doesn't mean they won it.  He pretty clearly means LeBron got them to the championship round for the first time, which he did.

  • Another undersized Celtic...
I feel the same way about Artest as I do "Keeping up with the Kardashians"--can't stand the thought of it, but can't stop watching it. Although Kim is a lot hotter than Ron, but Ron might be hotter than Khloe (poor dumb-ass Lamar).

For some reason the only Laker I can't hate is Odom. He's too  oblivious.
True Celtic = Leon Powe

Bring back the show!!!!

Well, I guess I need a refresher on the English language.

That is an amazing prank call.

As a St. johns fan, I've long been an Artest fan.

Instead of trying to find something to criticize, try to understand what the person meant. Don't expect perfect clarity every time an athlete responds to a report sticking a microphone in their face.

He's hilarious. His post game interview after the finals was the one thing I thought was cool.

If his limited minutes bothered him, he wasn't sharing his displeasure before the Lakers tried to break their four-game losing streak Friday against the Sacramento Kings at Staples Center. If he was upset with Lakers coach Phil Jackson, he wasn't saying so publicly.

"It doesn't get frustrating," Artest said. "I just stay ready. If I play one minute, it's all about us winning. That's it. You just play.

"If it were tennis it would be different. I would have to play. But this isn't tennis."
