At first I voted the entire Celtics starting five in the East, but today I changed my vote to this. Rondo and Stuckey at guards,KG and Jamison at Forwards and Shaq at Center.

The reasons, especially guards are the popularity of Ray,Vince and Wade and those who vote for Rose. So in order to increase Rondo's chances of starting for the east don't vote for Ray or Wade or Vince, since they will get alot of votes anyway. And whatever you do don't vote for Rose, can't stand that boys appearance.

As for forwards Bosh and Amare will get theirs,so will Lebron and Pierce so don't vote for neither, vote only for KG who has a real shot to start this year. Pierce will play in the ASG anyway, just vote for a scrub.

Please Vote for Shaq at Center,no problem there.

And what if everybody votes for scubs and then Paul doesn't get in?  No, I'm voting for our starting five. The trick is, to me, don't vote Wade, Lebron, etc.  Just vote for our guys.

It really doesn't matter.

True fans voices are never heard at All-Star games. The casual fan greatly outnumbers the real fan, and they see who they want.

Carlos Arroyo and Joel Anthony might get more votes than Rondo and Shaq, respectively (JK, hopefully).

How about you vote for the most deserving players that are having the most deserving year?... Tactics like this is why the All Star game is taken like a joke anyway. Vote for who deserves it, at least you've done your part to right the system.

Haha this strategy makes no sense, your original ballot of our starting five would help the C's out better. Unless you were worried about Ray starting over Rondo, but voting for Stuckey is purely a waste. Why not throw that vote to Ray so he can possibly start over Wade (which I doubt will happen).

I say everyone vote for AI.  Why stop having him start?  He hasn't deserved to be a starter in many seasons, yet there he is.

And Vince Carter.  And Yao Ming.

Can we still vote for BJ Armstrong?

We vote every game. Celtics 5 and then just fan favorites in the West.  I can't really see the punch outs with out cheater eye glasses now but after a few ballots I just know where the holes are to be punched.  :)

Poor logic. Even if you don't vote for Wade, he will get enough votes. He is a superstar.

The most important outcome is that an undeserving player doesn't eat up a starting spot, meaning one deserving player gets pushed out of a bench spot. I don't see how Carter get's voted in at this point. There are enough qualified quards who are doing well.

Your voting for Stuckey is only hurting Celtics players, including Rondo.

Have to agree with GW (TP) ... the logic is a bit self-defeating here, and the only true way to help get your favorite player in, is to vote for him ... this kind of defensive voting is a paradox of sorts, and it may hurt the guys you don't want to let in, but won't help the guys you do want in.

LOL! (TP) Unfortunately, as it is now, this is just a plain old popularity contest, and not a venue for the most deserving ... a problem that is assured whenever the genral public is involved. ;)

i am not so sure about Ray getting so many votes, he barely made it in the last couple of years.

Ray has actually been an alternate, no where near voted in and not even an initial bench pick.

I wonder if the OP realizes that votes only count for the starters. After that it means nothing.

If you think Ray deserves to be an allstar then by all means please vote for him and increase the gap between Ray,Vince to Rondo and help Rose start for the east. And if the votes are like last year we could see a horrible starter in Vince or Ray at guard.

Actually now that I took another look at forwards it doesn't hurt KG's chance to start if you vote for Pierce, though I don't see Pierce as an allstar.
