C's are pretty much letting OKC shoot open midrange jumpers, and on offense Boston's got no flow, no oomph. One of the announcers might've hit it on the head when he said: "No Durant, no Green, home game for Boston, they probably figured it was a gimme." And that's what makes watching Boston regular-season basketball so much FUN.  ::)

At the game riht now. Building is dead most likely because of durant's absence...we need energy! Some missed jumpshots by oks wouldn't hurt either...

The Thunder are knocking down a lot of jumpers.  Tuned in to the 2nd quarter.  Don't have much of a problem with how we're playing.
No problem with being outrebounded 20-11 and Garnett having zero rebounds. Interesting.
The C's have 5 team rebounds to 1 for the thunder, that reduces the margin a bit.

Giving up 23% of available offensive boards isn't good but its not horrific. We have to force misses first.
Right, forgot about the team rebounds.

Either way, aside from the fact that we're giving up way too easy offensive rebounds, what annoys me is that I am tired of opposing shooters having a field day (pun intended) due to the fact that Shaq moves with the speed of a loaded truck going uphill.

I can't really fault the offense.  They're moving the ball well, and are shooting something like 55%.

The defense has been lazy at times, but OKC also has been extremely hot shooting.  I think on the average night, even with this level of effort, the Celtics would be up by 10+.  However, when OKC doesn't miss on its mid-range jumpers, it's hard to build a lead.

You're right: they are shooting well. The four turnovers on their first five possessions really soured me, and they all look like they're playing with cement shoes.

I'm pretty sure that if Perk (or whoever) was in there, the team would be happy to give Serge Ibaka open jump shots.  As for the other open jumpers, I can't really blame Shaq when OKC's point guards are hitting from outside.

Usually team rebounds are more even.

The bad thing is a lot of those team rebounds are ones where they tip it out because they're working harder than the C's. That means no break....

Shaq's playing inspired ball. I like that. He can really do a lot of damage for Boston, especially against teams that have crappy bigs.

Thunder are living at the line.  ::)

C's better to get stuff together or they'll be in a hole they can't get out of.

Already in the penalty with around 9 minutes left in the third, even without Durant for the free whistles ???

Best Pierce dunk since he threw down against the Nuggets a couple seasons ago.
