I was expecting to see an Onion article in yesterday's 'Miami "Fan Up"' thread. I was a day off.

Seems like tasteless humor to me. The poor guy hasn't been able to stay healthy, and if he was heatlhy he would be a heck of a player. I don't see it as his fault.

Great article.

Definitely not tasteless, but definitely offensive for some. But most Onion parodies are offensive to someone. News parody that doesn't get someone riled up isn't doing a good job.

Making someone who is making millions of dollars but is injured hardly seems unethical to me. He is still an NBA player. He still has a bright future either in the NBA or investing his money post NBA. Oden is not someone who needs to be protected.

I find the 'old man' jokes far more offensive than the injury prone ones.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I think its pretty funny; I always enjoy the onion.

Tip that some might find useful: before a (potentially) stressful presentation at work or other type of event I read over the daily onion to get my mind off of things.  It works well for me.
Celtics fan for life.

Wow - as usual the Onion is very prescient.  They haven't been this far ahead of the curve since this article:
