Sorry, that was poor communication on my part. What I was saying is that Melo was being overly public, kind of a diva, and a bit of a coward for going after Bosh and not LeBron, although what the two of them did was nearly identical.

Another possible take I have on it. Bosh has said moving to Miami was about being on TV. Melo could be trying to say he wants to be in a winning situation. (of course he's trying to go to the Knicks so we know that isn't true.....)

Masai Ujiri is the Nuggets new GM. He was with the Raptors last season (Director of Global Scouting) and Ujiri has compared the Nuggets situation with Carmelo Anthony to the situation he had to deal with as part of the Raptors organization with Chris Bosh. He has brought the subject up over and over again when answering questions about Carmelo's situation. He has done so since his first day on the job.

I wouldn't be surprised if Carmelo was answering a question about Bosh and whether he'd do the same thing ... because he sure as heck has in the past. Lots of times. This is the name the media keeps asking Carmelo about and they do it because the GM keeps talking about Bosh.

That puts the whole thing in a lot more context to me. I don't know if that's what happened, but it would sure make a heck of a lot sense if it did.
