Read this in today's ESPN blog with Chris Forsberg, in an interview with Shaq:

"O'Neal discussed his philosophy on unstoppable forces meeting immovable objects before Saturday's game, reaffirming the notion that his primary job description is "enforcer."

"That's what I do: No [expletive] layups," said O'Neal, throwing out a 12-letter curse word for effect. "Print it just like that and, if you get fined, come see me, and I'll reimburse you."

Love it.  So glad I can finally list quotes from Shaq under "Celtics Talk".

Shaq should make a mandatory post game televised interview after every Celtics game... Ratings would go through the roof.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Man I just love Shaq. I am just so ecstatic that he is on this team. He took a minimum contract. He's involved with the fans, and he's still the most "must see" interview in the league.

So happy he's here. 18 points and 6 Rebs in 22 minutes doesn't hurt either.

Complete opposite of Bosh.  Was thinking when Rondo went up uncontested for his posterization-dunk, how none of the Celtics - none of the bigs, none of the littles - would have let that happen.

NO LAYUPS!  NO EASY BASKETS!  NO LAYUPS!  NOTHIN' I CAN'T FOUL!

If it's the word I'm thinking of (the adjective and not the noun), it's 13 letters.  Nice quote by Shaq though, and fits in well with our philosophy.  And he's one of the few guys who can hit LeBron hard enough to remove any chance of him finishing the play.

Scary to think about him and Perk patrolling the lane in the playoffs.

I'm guessing it's being shortened with no 'g' at the end.

Just saw Shaq in some absurd cable tv ad.....I don't care if this dude spends all his money Toine style....he is just never going to starve. Impossible.    Look at his Ben Stein ads.  I mean the man is just entertaining.  If he made paintings Jackson Pollack style he'd make money. He would.
