I'm not a fair weather fan, and I don't hide when my team loses, but that was a pretty amazing display. There were some late/lazy closeouts by the Lakers, but in general, a lot of their three's were contested. Great showing by Phoenix.

I didn't watch the game but 22 3's and Lakeshow lost by 5. If the final is any indication of how the game went, Lakers performance is more impressive. To lose by 5 with all those 3 pointers, a good night imo.

They had 20 offensive rebounds, that's why it was close. The Suns lost Robin Lopez to a knee injury so they were playing super small all night.

Wow. Richardson 70% from the three-point line.

Awesome night for phoenix for a good win.

I agree with Change though, even better for the Lakers to be so close at the end.

TP for you sir. As much as I don't like the Lakers I can respect you as a fan and not being like the other Laker fan posters on here.

Lakers did well to only lose by 5 under that barrage. Phoenix can do that to any team in this league. That is their calling card. Can't get lazy on those closeouts.

However Phoenix cannot be a serious contender because they lack inside muscle needed to get it done in the trenches.

Exactly.

Don't worry about this game, LA. Just get ready for June. Boston and LA has a score to settle.

I guess Turkoglu's demise was misreported...

Great game by the Suns, but the Lakers were certainly affected by no calls in the Suns' favor:

Lakers +40 in points in the paint, -2 in fta's
