Hello,

Does anyone know another way of purchasing tickets to a Celtics game(Celtics vs Lakers in paticular) that is already sold out on ticketmaster? I'm trying to get my hands on three tickets for my dad's birthday. Any feedback is appreciated.

Thanks

Lots of legit ways, but they're going to pricey.

StubHub, AceTicket, eBay, even check the Celtics.com for ticket exchanges.
Yup

craigslist!

Also like Redz says, on ticketmaster there is ticketexchange which allows season ticket holders to sell their tickets at face value. Here is a link:

You're going to pay an arm and a leg for Lakers tickets.  The atmosphere is very exciting, but once the final whistle blows it's just another regular season game.  So if budget is an issue I would suggest you get a lower demand game with better seats.

Ebay will be your best bet for a good price, but make sure to look for auctions and not fixed price posting which will be just as inflated as Stub Hub and Ace Tickets.

They definitely cost a lot more. My ex paid like $150 a ticket (she got them on Stubhub. I definitely trust them and Ticketexchange, can't vouch for craigslist and wouldn't use them as a first option) for corner balcony tickets to the game last January. But I think the atmosphere is different. I was surprised at how into it everyone was. It was my first game in the Garden so I was gonna be stoked it they were playing the Raptors and were up by 30 at halftime. But everyone was reacting to every bucket, every whistle, every turnover.

I was just mad that non-MA residents have to be 25 to drink. I was 24 and upset about that (pre-gamed at the bar across the street, but it was an afternoon game so couldn't get that many in). Next time I go I don't think I will drink there for spite.

Again, I have nothing to compare it to other than Celtics games in NY/NJ, where I sometimes see Nets fans dozing off during the game. In Boston, it felt like a playoff game.

What I would suggest is going to a huge game like LA or Miami, or seeing two games in one trip for the same price, which is what I may do later this season.
