I felt that the refs overall were pretty fair in the Miami game. There was a lot of contact that they let go, especially when James or Wade had the ball.

This call is clearly a legit one - KG was in the paint for over 3 seconds.  Whether that gets called on some other player in some other situation is debatable and becomes very subjective; the nice thing about hypotheticals is you get to make them turn out however you want.

What's odd to me is that the ref conspiracy talk has been louder than usual despite the fact that we're winning just about every game.  I don't remember hearing this stuff much when we were dropping games left and right last year.

People are just looking for reasons to try and throw together and NBA conspiracy of sorts and blame the refs for teams turnovers...Now we have an example of the refs making a CORRECT call and it is still being looked at as wrong doing and conspiring against the Celtics...

The real question is when does THIS stop??

i find it funny that there is CLEAR video proof of the refs blatently calling bad calls on the C's in the finals and againt other teams with "premiere" nba stars but yet people still come on here defending the refs and vince macma- i mean david stern... it's known across the league that the nba money maker superstars get the best treatment from the refs  and on here people just point that out but yet we have some that refuse to accept that....

This is just ridiculous. Stop blaming the refs for the fact the Celtics lost games fairly. Just because the refs missed one or two calls against the Celtics due to human error, that doesnt means they're the only team that is getting called against. People need to accept the fact that the refs call the best game they can, no one is out to get the Celtics.

And yes the NBA's money making superstars certainly get more lee way than others, but that has nothing to do with this conversation. Wouldnt Garnett, a well respected NBA veteran who before reworking his contract was the highest paid player in the league, get the benefit of the doubt here as well.

There is no conspiracy, you are never going to unlock an NBA conspiracy, the Celtics lost the finals because of poor fourth quarter play. The refs of the NBA have on the toughest jobs in the league, would you rather have robots calling the game? Or have every play be called from watching it on camera, if that happened then the games would last5 hours long because of all the things they could call..Accept it, thats all there is to it.

In all fairness, we did win the game, so if there's ever a time to complain, it's when you win, IMO. But I actually don't agree that it was a bad call, it looked like the perfect call to me.

None of that is fact.  It is opinion.

In this particular Heat game and in the first game of the season, it did seem a couple of calls were made that almost ensured the game didn't turn into a 30 point romping. It's hard to pinpoint whether this is human nature or deliberately done, though.

I'd also like to add that I was in attendance for the Milwaukee game and pretty close to the court and I felt the Celtics were jobbed in that one, even though we won. It was the first game after the KG "cancer patient" rumors and I got the impression that they were targeting Boston unfairly.

Would someone please provide the video link of Ray getting close-lined across the NECK on the dunk attempt??   If we can't agree on that one, I need to go:-)))  How the wonderful ref misses that one is beyond me!!  It is almost worse than the call on Nate Robinson on that 3-point attempt when he was NOT within 1 foot of I believe Eddie House.

How any of you can say that those two calls are not two of the worst EVER is beyond me!!!!  OOPS, I forgot about the WORST flagrant call in NBA HISTORY on Shaq vs. Lebron.

How anyone can say that this game was called fairly when the Heat had 41 FT attempts and we had 25, is beyond me.  Lebron almost shot as many as our entire team (22 vs. 25).

Come on folks, let's all wake up.  If you didn't see any bias in that game, I don't know what to say any more.

Just because its really frustrating to watch Lebron bulldoze his way to the hoop doesn't make it illegal or a conspiracy. It just makes it really annoying.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

I keep trying to tell people i thought, and assumed it was on Rondo because of the announcer and the way the video shot to rondo, also rondo's reaction. Its simple. I made a mistake. Its not like I saw Garnetts violation and still called it on Rondo.

Anyway heres the Ray Allen dunk attempt. I also upload the play after where Lebron gets untouched and a foul is called

i couldn't help but laugh at this play when i watched it... first off that is a foul but they let that go and said it was a block. but if thats a block HOW THE HELL is it heat ball??? that was a call to keep them into the game longer. its just like those lebron blocks which are goaltends 50-60% of the time. when he does get them clean though they are amazing plays
everyone got so sensitive after 9-11... thanks alot bin laden

first off, I never blamed the game on the refs... The only game i blamed on the refs was game 7 of the finals where the fakers shot 21 ft's in the 4th to our 17 for the GAME. every1 has said that 4th was fixed even faker fans... and i have not seen 1 person on here saying that there was a conspiracy against the celts, just that it was a bad call... secondly, KG honestly gets absolutely NO leeway in this league. i honestly think the refs hate him as much as sheed... so there is no way to compare KG to the queen...

It's amazing how many fans complain about refs and don't actually know the rules. KG is in the lane for 6-7 friggen seconds!!! Hah I'm serious, look at him enter the paint at the :03 mark and is still there at the :10 second mark. Even with that pivot he never gets both feet clearly out of the paint.

Officiating in the NBA is harder than in any other level or sport. I get ticked when the they make a good call and people still get on them.  ::)
clearly you dont know the rules then... as soon as KG catches the ball that is a reset of the 3-sec timer, then on the video you can see that he gets that second foot out of the paint then goes back in... that play is a hard one though because in real time it isnt as crystal clear as in a replay. but i will say that is a fast 3-sec call because he was in for like 3.2 secs and he called it where on alot of plays they wait 4-5 secs b4 calling it
everyone got so sensitive after 9-11... thanks alot bin laden

How would 3.2 seconds be a fast 3 second call? The rule calls for 3 seconds, not 4-5... If it was 2.8 seconds then yeah, its a quick call, but three seconds is always going to be 3 seconds.

Free throw qty doesn't automatically mean fixed (no alltime record there), and there are plenty of Celtics fans on this blog who blamed the Celtics settling for jumpers and fouling more as they became fatigued - while the Lakers took the ball inside - for the 4th Q FT disparity...

Sure, there were some bad calls - but I've seen more people complain about the contrast in the way the game was called in the 1st half (where the no-calls were clearly in the Celtics' favor) to when they began calling more fouls in the 4th.
