Look on the bright side, with the Lakers losing Hollinger will probably still have you first tomorrow.   ;D

Yup.  That Orlando blowout is still going a long way.
Yeah the three blow out wins are still skewing things, These rankings should even be released before 15-20 games. Right not he 1-6 Rockets are ranked above the 6-1 spurs because of SoS being such a big factor.

Nice quote. they are very dangerous. We should not get too cocky. Wade played his two worse games of the year against us and Ray cannot be relied on for 35 every night. Even if Wade continues to leave him wide open.

They are the only 5-4 team in the league....

Nice.  I look forward to them being the best 34-28 team in the league too.
That was one of the single happiest tps I ever gave

Then you should root for the Heat to play Orlando in the second round, because the Heat are going to keep killing Orlando unless Vince Carter/Rashard Lewis start playing up to their contracts.

How is a 5-4 team #1 in the rankings?  And he gets paid to write this stuff? LOL

I guess Wade's quote was correct. ::)

He's an ESPN writer, and thus has order's to pimp that team.

ESPN has a full boat of TV coverage on the heat, and has them down as the greatest team of all time. Facts just get in the way of that  ;D

Haha...anyone think that ESPN paid Hollinger to incorporate the "Heat Index" into his power rankings formula?

Apparently that's where we are...the completely number-driven, non-subjective formula that hasn't changed in a couple years is somehow biased specifically toward this year's Heat to serve the network's agenda.  ::)

Seriously, the rankings aren't very good with a small sample, but a quick glance at the formula explains why Miami's on top - the formula favors margin of victory and strength of schedule, and doesn't care about W-L.  Heat have a high margin of victory, and they've played a tough schedule (us twice, Orlando, New Orleans, Utah).  No conspiracy, they just have a profile that works very well with the criteria of the rankings.

Don't forget LeBron who complained about his minutes :

Quote
For myself, 44 minutes is too much,” James declared. “I think Coach Spo knows that. Forty minutes for D-Wade is too much. We have to have as much energy as we can to finish games out.”

Way to show leadership from both Wade and James. ::)

I think the Nuggets have something to say about that...they did just beat the Lakers. If we are talking about which 5-4team is playing the better ball right now id have to say the Nuggets.

Nope, the Nuggets are.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

After watching what the Pacers did to them, I don't think I can put the Nuggest above the Heat.

Especially given that the Lakers choked that game away by allowing Kobe to just start jacking up shots like crazy.

Oh I get it....that's how they lost. They was, get this....TIRED!  ::)

Never mind the Celtics are a bunch of grizzled old veterans who totally outclassed them and played like a TEAM and totally put it to them like they wanted it a LOT more than they did.

Nope, they was just tired....

On second thought, maybe I agree with this. The Celtics looked young and spry. The Heat looked old and slow. Maybe coach Spo can learn how to substitute correctly by watching Doc.

The Celtics aren't quitters. Why should you be? - blind homer

A lot of interesting comments coming out from the Heat side of things after this loss.  I can't imagine you'd be getting the same soundbites/excuses from the C's had they lost to the Heat last night.
