So what do you think the chances are that the BIG 4 make the All star team this year?

I'd say maybe 40/70. Seriously though, I would say Rondo, KG, Pierce and Allen all have a pretty good shot if their play at the break is similar to now. Rondo and KG unless injury slows him are locks. Pierce should be as well. Ray deserves it but who knows there.

Pierce, KG and Rondo are no-brainers IMHO.  Ray has a great shot if his shooting %s stay high.

2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

you'd have to think the miami 3 could all make it too (I'm not sold on Bosh not fitting in, I think he makes a resurgance), so 7 guys from 2 teams? unlikely...

Talk about playing the percentages!   ;)

If the AS game were right now Id say yes but I would have to take a long lookn at the rest of the conference to see who would have to be left out.

Oh I hope none of them make it, guys can use the weekend better, rest for what really matters.

Seriously though, RR's a lock. PP should start as well, but James is in this conference...and with all the NY votes for Amare

Garnett has had a better start than Pierce.

LeBron will start with either Amar'e or KG at the other Forward spot, I'm hoping KG.

I don't get why people think that being voted into the all-star game is such a taxing thing on athlete's bodies...

Seriously. Only athletes like Manny Ramirez want to rest on the AS break. 99% of athletes consider it an honor even if it would be the 14th selection for a guy like KG. The Celtics in particular are packed with guys who all care about their legacy. Doc can get these guys extra rest if they really need it at the break.

I say BIG 5 All-Stars...everybody forggot about Doc  :)
If the Pistons had 4 guys, why can't we have 4, but I really don't care about that. Rondo, Pierce and KG are East elite, Ray will be considerd surely.

Sorry, but Chris Bosh is not making the all-star team this year.

I dont understand this. If you get nominated to be an all star its an honor... Take the time to rest? They play a fun filled 20 minute scrimmage where no one plays defense, everyone has a good time, and there really isnt anything strenuous about it. Players should take pride in doing something good for the league, not refuse to participate based on whether they need an extra day of rest or something.

Who gets to pick the reserves?  Is it Doc or coaches voting?  I forget how that works.  I figure LBJ beats PP in fan voting at the 3; Stat beats KG at the 4; Wade beats RR at the 2.  There might be other players in the mix but those names came to mind immediately as guys I would think would win the vote over the Big 3.  Rondo vs Rose will be a toss up; I give the edge to Rose since he's probably more popular right now on a national level, but Rondo does have the momentum.
