TP to anyone who can access and post the video of KG's blown layup on a great feed from a slithering PP who snaked his way under the basket that would have put the Cs up 2 just before Nowitski's game winning 2. This changed the whole dynamic of the end of the game and consequent result.

There seems to be differing opinions on some of the game posts as to whether KG blew it or was slightly bumped or was bumped so egregiously that it was obvious a foul should have been called. I'm in the first camp, I thought KG blew it, but will admit I didn't see a replay of it. What did you guys "see"?

From my eyes I was thinking a foul was going to be called... I clearly though he was pushed or hit in the arm because something certainly altered the shot and it didnt get blocked... I havent gone back to see the replay but I was certain he got fouled at the time.

Oh well, we had two times in 17 seconds to try and execute a play to win or tie and both times out of the timeout we came up with absolutely nothing.

I haven't seen the replay either but to me it looked like a blown lay up. In crunch time like that you have to dunk the ball. The refs are going to swallow their whistles so you have to take the highest percentage shot. That's one thing I wish KG would do more.

Just finish the play. If you want to win, you have to finish those off. Even if there was a foul (which hadn't even entered my mind), not every foul will be noticed by refs so you need to get it done.

Yeah I agree. I dont think KG was really expecting the pass (and to be fair, PP wasnt looking to pass all that much last night) and he caught it off balance. This was a case where KG should have gathered himself and threw it down in traffic. Oh well if he gets another opportunity later in the season I am sure he will remember this one.

It was a foul that wasn't called. That's why I thought when I saw the action, and I rewinded the LP feed to check it and it was definitely a foul (contact on KG's arm when he shot the ball). That's why I was kind of angry at the refs for this one since Nowitzki got free throws all night long every time someone breathed in his neck.

The worst part is you see Tyson Chandler unsuccessfully recover only to clearly crash into KG before he attempts to block the shot. I don't think jazz goes well with sports highlights

Clearly fouled and altered his shot. Why everyone seemed sure he just missed it is beyond me after seeing that highlight. Of course it was not called not much of anything on the C's side was called. 7 FTs the whole game. That is a low number for HALF of a game let alone a full game

  • You say when......
On the bigger picture, the loss does not come down to one play. What it did show to the league, is that we cannot D up a mobile forward...like with the bucks, and now the mavs...so what are we going to do with the lakers, or the hawks, or orlando...BBD can't cover them. Once they realize he can't touch that shot, he is done. Lasme, can jump better, and faster, he would be a good help as a #2 sort of BBD option for that type of D situation, dump Wafer...
