While I would never say a player owes anything to any city, LeBron almost did. Every chance he got he threw bouquets at the team and the city. He talked about how much he liked the team, the coach, and the ownership. In reality, he probably hated all of it. If he indicated earlier than he did what his intentions were, not so many people would have been hurt by his 'decision.'
He may not be a "traitor" per se, but he definitely turned his back on his city of 25 years and fans of his entire career. He blindsided them like no other megastar probably ever has. He rubbed it in their faces and embarrassed an entire city. His tweets, his interviews, his Nike commercial and every other misstep he's made are only making it worse for the city of Cleveland.
This commercial expresses their genuine emotions.
I'm pretty sure December 2nd will produce louder boos than we can even imagine. It will probably surpass anything in recent memory. Usually, even when a guy comes back after leaving, there is usually some appreciation for him mixed with the boos.
I will definitely tune in just for the introductions.
