How about Luis Scola, huh?
It's only through 3 games, but Scola is currently averaging 27 boards and 16 rebounds a game, with 1 block a game as well. That's nuts. I remember Scola had a 40+ point game last year, but where is this coming from? He's 30 and should probably be headed towards the downside of his career.
If he maintains anything close to what he's doing now he's in the running for MIP. Heck, right now he's probably the league MVP through 3 games (that is, he would be if his team hadn't lost all 3 of their games).
