The recent struggles with Delonte have strengthen my opinion that he is one of the loopier dudes in the NBA. But who would be your starting five for the best "All Crazy Team"

I've Got Gilbert Arenas, Delonte, Ron Artest, Zach Randolph and the Birdman

Really? Birdman? So a guy who has a serious substance abuse problem and goes to rehab to get his life together is "crazy"? Wow. As a bi-polar individual, I won't even comment on Delonte's inclusion. Don't wanna rant.

Don't mean to poop your party. I guess I just don't find substance abuse and a mental problem comical.

Because riding around town with a small arsenal for no apparent reason is something all sane people do.
Why does everyone on this blog have to be so frigg'n sensitive? These guys are brought up because of their past, not condition.
Back to wanting Joe fired.

I don't think it's being overly sensitive to point out that substance abuse or cognitive disabilities aren't the same as 'being crazy.'  And I can certainly understand how someone who has bi-polar disorder could want to point it out.

The answer to this topic is quite simple - I think the Portland "Jailblazers" a few years back would provide the most "crazy" group possible

Damon Stoudamire, Qyntel Woods, Zach Randolph, Rasheed Wallace, Ruben Patterson, Bonzi Wells, Shawn Kemp, Derek Anderson, Darius Miles.. Only player they were missing would've been Artest, at least in my book. Gilbert Arenas would probably have made that team as well!

Boozer, Carlos - C

Brand, Elton - PF

James, LeBron - SF

Iverson, Allen - SG

Billups, Chauncey - PG

Iverson and James might take a ton of flack on a starting five that looked like this but I doubt this squad would lose many games  ;D

LOLs at imagining a team like this in Chicago this season instead of the current Miami Heat squad. If I was an NBA GM I'd probably have a heart-attack before the end of the season...

The flip side is that pretty much anyone we'd call "crazy", in the NBA or anywhere else, has some sort of mental disorder, whether clinical or sub-clinical.  Crazy pretty much means mentally disordered.  If people like that aren't "crazy", then who is?

I think the real issue is whether it's ok to use that label at all, not whether the label as it's defined fits them.

I cannot believe that no one has mentioned Dennis Rodman.

I think Isiah Thomas, Stephon Marbury, Delonte West, Latrell Sprewell, Ron Artest, Dennis Rodman, Kevin Garnett, and Rasheed Wallace would make a great all-crazy team.

Depth would look like:

Thomas/Starbury
Sprewell/West
Artest/Sprewell
Rodman/KG
Wallace/KG

You've got Isiah as player/coach, because... why not? Starbury eating vaseline. Sprewell is choking Isiah. Delonte rides off the bench on a three-wheeled motorcycle because Artest is in the stands with Rasheed, who got ejected a quarter ago. Rodman would join the fray, but doesn't want to fight in high-heels. All the while, KG is on all fours barking at the opposing team.

Even with 8 players, I doubt you could keep 5 on the court.

EDIT: Forgot Gilbert Arenas, for more depth at the 2, and to give Delonte a gun-buddy. Updated depth chart would probably start him and make Sprewell full-time backup 3.
