I live in New York City and a very big Celtic fan, I have to listen to the Knick announces when they play the Celtics. Well in the pregame chatter they were all over the fight between D. West and Von Wafer. Then during play in the 1st quarter it was being talked about again. But you know what is very very interesting about The Knicks is that their center Eddy Curry has played in just 10 games over the last 2 seasons. Nobody broadcasting the Knick games ever talks about Eddy Curry. Several years ago they called him the centerpiece of the team.He was signed by The Knicks in 2005, averaged 19pts pergame in 2006. In 2008 he played in 3 games and averaged 1.3pts per game. In 2009 he played in 7 games and averaged about the same. This year he is being paid 11 million bucks, and hasn't played at all due to .......... fill in the blank. The Knicks should stop focusing on the negatives of other teams in their division, and focus on what is going to get this guy Eddy Curry back to playing basketball. He is the 2nd highest paid member on their team. What a real disgrace.

I don't know much about where he is at the moment, or what he's got going on basketball-wise, but his recent history has been "troubled", to put it mildly. The sexual harassment/racial slur accusations by his (male) chauffeur, the murder of his ex-girlfriend and 9-month old baby in the same month, the foreclosure on his property, and his serious cardiac problems, certainly must have had an affect on his game.

It might be another story of a guy who didnt have the necessary life skills to handle fame and fortune.

This is one of the reasons I am all for having a rule to make these guys go to college. Curry wasa real talent and there are plenty other guys like him that are out of the league. It leads to watered down talent pool and a bunch of guys looking for work with no college education.

He was on the Knicks bench last night.  I think he'd prefer to collect his money without having to work for it.  What a waste.  What a loser.

Actually I was surprised when i saw him on the bench for an away game.  I would think somebody who is perceived as such a slacker (and who has played only 10 games total the last 2 years) wouldn't travel with the team.  I'd think he just stay home, get fat(ter) and get paid.
