Its bull Wafer has the most to gain if Delontes cut.
Its Wafer talking crap to Delonte and behind Delontes back that pushed him to snap.
Its Wafer who is the poisoner here.
I agree 100% with Salmon and Mash Potatoes. Its totally transparent.

Wow, this is a reality show unfolding here. I have no clue who started it, but Drama Delonte is doing a lot more than rehabbing his back, huh. Are we really blaming Von for instigating this? I say put the camera on these two, or just Delonte. We all know he can carry a reality show on his own. The team doesn't need this, but might have to at least suspend Delonte. He just can't get away with this, set an example.  Last but not least, keep both of them away from the rookies.

don't want to comment too much without having the facts....

just want to point out that there's a world of difference between talking trash and provoking someone.  If someone's on meds for mental illness, any kind of taunting or teasing about those meds is a major provocation.  Would one really expect a fight not to ensue?  It's just something that's not done, and most people are smart enough to know that.  But who knows what was said.
Always best not to judge when "facts" are so young.

What are you basing this on?
From the video and that is a small sample it was Delonte talking crap and being the aggressor. Wafer seemed to do nothing.

Does Wafer stand to gain if Delonte is gone? sure but motive doesn't get you convicted by itself.

oh please. Wafers play stinks and he has everything to gain by Delonte getting cut. What do you really think is happening here? Delonte just attacks Wafer for no reason? If Delonte stays healthy and plays well Wafer gets no playing time. Wafer is a vastly inferior player and his only hope is for West to lose his mind.

Oh its just my take on it based on what I see.
I dont believe West would attack someone unprovoked.

I do believe agree with Wiley above statement "If someone's on meds for mental illness, any kind of taunting or teasing about those meds is a major provocation.  Would one really expect a fight not to ensue?

In three years with Boston nothing like this ever happened with Delonte and with Delonte gone Wafer will back up Ray.

Its all I need.

Gimme a break, Von Wafer will not be on this team for long.  He's useless.  Delonte will play a huge part in banner 18. Releasing him would be stupid  & Danny knows it, thats why hes staying.  I could care less about a practice fight.  Jordan ( different situation i know ) used to punch teamateS in practice all the time.  Chris Mannix is right---- fights happen all the time, we just dont hear about it.  What, KG has never been in a fight before?  i DOUBT IT.  Get past it people

Good. Get rid of West. He is just going to cause trouble and be a cancer in the locker room. I'd much rather see Robinson taking the guard minutes than West and his stalled offense.

The conspirator inside me think, Von was the instigator. Wafer is threaten by West presence on the team. As long as West is here, Wafer is an afterthought relegated to mop on duty. Or possibly get released since his services isn't needed. So why not instigate, and leak false stories about Delonte. Badmouth him until he snaps. Delonte past get rehashed plus this new twist. Delonte is gone, and wide open alley for Wafer to make the team. Too juicy? Either way, I dislike Von and hope he is released.

Wafer was a punk in Houston and overseas. He got kicked off a foreign team almost instantly, so there must have been similar issues with him in other places. Delonte may be nuts, but he doesn't have a history of fighting his coaches and teammates. Bye Bye Wafer, we won't miss you.

I guarantee this comes back to bite the Celtics in the backside this season.

I know people want Delonte bc he is a good bball player, but this fool needs to go.

Gangsta sh*t flies on the blacktop, but coaches and the front office have little tolerance for being "gangsta."

Drop Delonte now, save yourself the headache latter in the season when he gets busted for DWI or beating a woman.  Delonte is just one of those guys who doesnt get it and never will.  His game is not worth the problems he brings.

Hypo: If Delonte got into with with KP or Nate Robinson or tried to pull that gangsta sh*t with one of the big three, would everyone still want Delonte on the team?

I highly doubt it, cancers need to be cut out, removed and eradicated for the body to become healthy again.

BYE BYE Delonte.  Have fun trying to get on another NBA team.

P.S.  BTW if this was all Von Wafer's fault, his ass should be gone as well.  NO favorites for me.

I'm glad Delonte's sticking around.  We need to see how he can work in with our rotation.  I hope he and Wafer can stay out of it as they both seem pretty hot-headed.

I wonder who Jeff's source was who said Delonte was gone, though.
I wouldn't be surprised if Doc or KG or Paul wanted him gone.

Ainge could have over ruled them and is attempting to salvage the situation.

Says who? Paul and West were teammate for long time. Doc coached him for his first 3 years. Never heard those guys saying anything bad about Delonte even when he was with the enemy.

Von doesn't deserve to be sucker punched. However, I still believe Von instigated all of this. Hopefully the Veterans can squash the beef. I have zero worry.
Pure speculation on my part. I trust Jeff and his source that someone in the Celtics org wanted West gone. Paul and KG were mentioned as being upset about the fight. The other person who I think of having much pull in the org is Doc.

Jeff's source was wrong, get over it.  It happens.

Fact is, everything in Kennedy's article--minus the fact that a fight happened--has been explicitly contradicted by trusted reporters and even by Ainge himself.  They were all lies.

Nobody in the Cs organization wants him gone, and if they had to vote you can bet they'd cut Wafer instead. You really think Pierce would have a problem with Delonte punching out Von?  And KG?  KG has actually punched out teammates before, multiple times in fact, so I'm sure he understands the sentiment.

As soon as I saw their names involved in Kennedy's creative little "article" I knew I was being fed one-side agenda-driven crap straight from Wafer's camp.  That article was so transparent I'm surprised it gained so much traction for the couple hours that it did.

It's only a matter of time before Wafer's gone.  You don't rat out teammates for personal gain and live to become a part of the rotation.
Folly. Persist.

Anyone that concludes (from the limited information released) that Wafer needs to be cut (instead of West) needs to preface their statement with words, "I will bend the truth in any way that I can based on a guys value to the team".

Some of you guys are really stretching when blaming this on Wafer.  And like I said earlier, cutting Wafer for this incident (and not West) would send the wrong message.

As for me, I don't want West cut because he is a good player.  But at least I admit it.
