Great thread title, TP ot the OP. Exactly my thoughts
I came home last night, turned it on near the end of the game expecting a blow out that I could then sit back and watch on my DVR...and what do I see? A recurrring nightmare theme from last year.
Varejo / Hickson / Moon / Parker & Mo Williams. Really? Are you kidding me!?
I agree with one poster who said if the starters don't come out and dominate, bench them. I'd rather watch our bench guys lose, but go down swinging, than watch an apathetic, passionless effort from a bunch of future hall of famers, any day of the week and twice on Sundays.
It makes me want to vomit. You get "paid" millions of dollars a year to "work". Put you hard hat on and bring it every night, or don't even show up to the arena.
I'll tell you what, I watch Bird, Magic and Jordan. Even at the very ends of their careers, sometimes without a championship hope in legitimate sight, they still brought it every single night like it mattered.
Right now, there is a reason all those guys have multiple rings and our crew has only one.
My meaning? Had they not mailed in so many losses last year, they probably would have had Homecourt, which most likely would have meant #18. Every game counts.
Ok, I feel better now.
This being said, I do think our bench is better this year. When Delonte, and for that matter, Perkins come back, I think we'll simply have alot less of this apathy than we did last year. I hope. We should.
