I think Rondo who is not in his prime yet, Shaq, KG, PP and RA would own any and every team in the league if in their primes it would not even be close.  That is five all stars and four of those are going to the HoF I think and Rondo may as well.

You did get me thinking about which Pierce we would select. He probably wasn't as explosive as his younger years, but that championship year he had just the right mentality and skillset to be dominant.

2008 PP was pretty tough and clutch.

Oh you take 2004-2005 Pierce no question. I loved his play in 2007-2008 but if we're going full primes there is no reason to worry about chemistry. I mean everyone in their prime wouldn't work anyways not enough shots to go around.

Primes? No question the mid-80's Celtics!

Shaq and KG prime would be tough, but what sold me on the mid-80's Celtics was the fact that they beat the Twin Towers of Olajuwon and Sampson.

Can't get much tougher than those two, but yet we beat them - in 6 games, for that 16th banner.

Shaq, KG, and Jermaine O'Neal would be massively better than Sampson Olajuwon.

In their primes KG and Shaq is scary defensively and offensively. Throw in the prime JO and that's a scary 4-5 combo. But you also get the prime Allen/Pierce combo on the wings. Then Rondo, Perk. Killer team.

Good Points, Fafnir and Rebus - I'd still take our mid 80's team.

Plus, throw in a Prime Walton? Wow....

Plus - who in the world would guard Larry Prime? I love our KG, but I think McHale Prime would shake and bake him into foul trouble...

Shaq would be a load for anyone, but he couldn't do it by himself.

KG in his prime was probably the best defensive power forward ever. Best pick and roll defender ever, amazing quickness that allowed him to be murderous in switches and zone, and still had the strength/stamina to defend the post all game. Only Rodman or Tim Duncan compare to him in my mind.

Jermaine O'Neal was probably the third (maybe fourth depending on Rasheed's mood) best defensive PF in the league in his prime as well.

As for Larry, if Pierce can guard LeBron he can guard Larry. Larry was a load to defend, but so is LeBron.

Good Point, Fafnir.

Is there any way to sim this in NBA 2K11?

I still say that no one would conquer the chemistry of the mid 80 Celtics, though.

Larry Bird was too good. Forget about it. Healthy 80s Celtics can beat anybody.

The dream team would be unbeatable.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale
