Anyone been following TA lately?

Had a couple single digit points games in very limited minutes and a few 0 minutes played.

I totally forget but did he take the MEM offer because he wanted more play time or because he was getting more $? I really hope it was the money for his sake.

Pretty sure it was playing time (or a bigger role), then I think the coach came out and said it would be stupid to expect more playing time or something along those lines.

Lakers vs Blazers, interesting matchup tonight. Blazers are probably too short handed to win this game but it'll be interesting while the starters are in the game.

The Lakers offense is looking very good. More like the team from 07-08 and 08-09 rather than last season. Ugly offensive team last year. Tonight though, lots of good ball and player movement offensively. Nice passing, especially from Gasol and Odom. Lot of good ball-handlers, different players initiating the offense. Attacking from different angles. Great job exploiting the Blazers defensive decisions.

Obviously, not having Bynum in there opens up things for LA ... we'll see how their offense shapes up once he comes back.

Ugh, MVP chants in November.

Not even the first MVP chants I've heard this season. Awful.

Pau Gasol's first quarter -- 8 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists.

It looks like he can tear apart Portland's defense whenever he wants when Camby is sitting. Aldridge can't cover him and he's getting no help from his power forward when Pau attacks him.

LA should be able to build a nice lead while Portland has 2-3 substitutes in the game. Wesley Matthews looks the only reliable contributor off the bench for Portland.

The Lakers shot .362 from 3-pt range in '07-'08, and .361 in '08-'09.

They are currently shooting a fraction of a percent under 45%, while leading the league in attempts at 149.

That will make an offense look "very good" indeed...

I also think Steve Blake has done them a world of good. Big upgrade over Jordan Farmar. Having a quality PG to actually run the team is huge, and it allows them to keep the ball out of Shannon Brown's hands.

Speaking of the Hawks, they play the Magic tonight. It will be interesting to see if anything has changed from last year. (my guess is no  ;))

Absolutely - Blake's shooting really helps their bench, as has barnes hustle (if not his shooting) so far.

I can't believe shannon brown can possibly continue to play as well as he has.

He's looking rather "pumped up" in terms of musculature this year, wouldn't you say?

Anyone else watching the Heat-Jazz? I'm doing some research for the game preview on Thursday, and at first Miami was up 20 to start the second half, but the Jazz have pulled to within 3 with 8 minutes left in the 4th.

Yes.  I firmly believe I jinxed them by saying they were about to be 7-2 in the Bosh thread.

Really fun game right now.  Hope the Jazz pull it off.

I started the C's-Heat preview today and in the "the Line" part at the beginning I said the Celtics and Heat are both coming off a loss. I better not have to change it.

Oh wow that's a heck of a foul by Ronnie Price. Shouldn't be a flagrant 2.

Jones landed terribly, but Price made a clear play on the ball and didn't seem to extend the other arm to throw him down.  That looks like a hard foul that got made into a flagrant because of the landing.

Jazz look flat again.

EDIT: BIG SHOT FROM AK!

Double Edit: And a bigger turnover from AK on the chance to pull within 2 on the transition bunny.

Good take from Chris Bosh. Very good take.
