W.Bynum + B.Gordon + McGrady + Villanueva + Maxiell

That is a very poor defensive lineup and a very streaky offensive group. Luckily for the Pistons, they're making their shots right now.

That second unit is going to hurt them over the course of the season.

Hack a Ben Wallace = two air-balls in a row from the FT line

Keep going to Tayshaun Prince in the low post against T-Williams.

Williams is too small to defend small forwards in the post. Williams needs to be kept at the two guard spots and away from the three spot.

Who, what do you think about Austin Daye at the 4?

I don't know yet. I am waiting to see a bit more out of him at the position. I haven't seen the Pistons play much yet.

I expect him to struggle defensively. Offensively, I want to see how much progress he made in the offseason. If he can be an efficient 15-17ppg type threat that will go a long way. Daye has a lot of talent as a rebounding SF so he should be able to be a serviceable rebounder as a four.

His man to man defense is going to be a major struggle because of his lack of bulk/physicality but if he can play average team defense + supply that offensive punch and do a serviceable job on the glass ... it might work out.

One other thing worth noting -- big backcourt with Rip and Stuckey plus Tayshaun is very long. Good team defenders. Those perimeter guys can supply a lot of help defense (double teams will be needed often to protect Daye) and still get back to their own man and contest their shot. Ben Wallace too. It'll be much harder to play Daye at the four with a small backcourt like W.Bynum and B.Gordon.

His explosive athleticism reminds me of young Amar'e.

Last time I saw a PF moving like that.

Phenomenal rebounder. Very intelligent, efficient and well-rounded (except for FT%) offensively.

Once he adds some more defensive quality to his game, he'll become a top 10 player in this league.

I may be reaching a little bit here, but Blake reminds me of a Karl Malone - Amare hybrid. He appears to be nearly as strong as Karl, but as explosive as Amare....

DeAndre Jordan creating a couple of turnovers here. I think that's 4 turnovers since he came in.

It'd be great for the Clippers, and for him, if it finally started to click defensively for D.Jordan.

You beat me to it. D Jordan playing well defensively.

I would have loved to have seen what Clifford Ray could have done with Jordan.

So if Blake can continue his growth, Kaman can repeat his play from last yr, and DeAndre can contribute, They will form a pretty tough big tandem.
