Kevin Love with 37 and 23 for the Wolves. He now has more double-doubles in a season than anyone, ever. Impressive.

That can't be right (the most double-doubles ever in a season), we're less than 60 games in.  The most consecutive ever, maybe?

EDIT:  Looked it up.  It's consecutive, and Love is 5 short of Moses Malone's all-time record (46 vs 51).

I stand corrected. TP. I'll post this again when Love has played six more games  ;)

watching last nights heat/knicks game...

2 observations:

really like the new look knicks, they're not contenders this season but their future looks bright (and mr big shot's still got it)

the heat must have the worst fans in the league...
they have an exciting team with plenty of star power and athleticism who is right up there at the top of the eastern conference with boston and chicago and they are playing a new-look playoff team in the knicks with two stars of their own and the arena is half empty...!

How does Wilt not have that record?

The HEAT does have bad fans but then most Florida Teams aside from the Dolphins do.  They can only bus so many from the nursing homes.

Dolphinsd do too lol.  Only in Florida that have good fans are the major college football ones.

Wilt does have that record -- 227 straight double doubles -- the media have just chosen to ignore that lately.

They mentioned it at the start, a few weeks ago, when they were talking about Love's consecutive double doubles ... but then completely ignored it from there on out. Very strange.

Kevin Love was even asked questions about Wilt's record by the media ... and now, nothing.

One or two media personnel ignoring it or not knowing that Wilt held the record, you expect that (bad reporting), but this is across the board ... I haven't anyone mention Wilt as the record holder in a long time. It's all Moses Malone has the record and Kevin Love is closing in on him. No mention of Wilt.

Anyway, it's strange.

I feel kind of silly now  :'( Oh, well. It's still an impressive thing Love's got going for himself.

That is really bizarre - were they all point-rebound double-doubles, or were some assists mixed in?  That's the only way I can see an omission like that happening.

One thing I did find while looking for info on this:  Wilt definitely has the record for consecutive triple-doubles...with NINE.

Are they just cutting it off at the merger? I know a lot of times they'll do that to pump up stupid records.
