I say he should just wear it inside out now.

I think Sheed tried that a few years ago and got fined for it.

I'm actually surprised the league let him get away with that so long in the first place.

Not that I think wearing the upside down headband is a big deal, but I have no problem with the league telling him to wear it right.  It's a voluntary part of the uniform.

Like I wouldn't expect to see a police officer wearing his hat backward, or the cashier at McDonald's wearing his hat/visor backward or visor upside down.  But if I did, I wouldn't think badly of the boss who told him to wear it the right way.

Every fan attending all Celtics games this years should sport an authentic NBA head band with the [dang] logo upside down.  They can't fine us .... or can they?  (cue Twilight Zone music)

How utterly absurd.

And Stern will give himself a nice pat on the back for getting his way, AND selling some extra NBA apparel in the process.

yeah kinda silly.  He didn't wear it upside-down intentionally at first.... he just accidentally put it on like that and decided to keep doing it to be quirky and because he didn't want to break his routine.

I thought the reason he stopped wearing it had something to do with playing on Team USA.  I don't know if the Team USA headbands actually had "USA" on them, but it could be perceived as disrespectful to the country if he wore that logo upside down.

Ridiculous ruling by the league, but I actually like the look without the headband better.

Would be funny to see everyone do that though. Would send a little not so subtle message about how fans view Stern and the NBA

I side with Stern on this one. These animals in the NBA (not meant in a racist way) are out of control. They need to be reigned in a bit. I hate the image of the NBA player.

Rondo in particular is not a problem, and I understand he hates the Lakers and turned the headband upside down to not support Jerry West...

You're kidding about the "out of control animals" thing, right?

That's forbidden, too. Just ask Sheed.

I just read that:

"Rasheed Wallace took it to the man by turning his headband inside-out, but the league came down on that, so Rasheed stopped."- from Yahoo.

The NBA is just petty but at least this isn't the first time the NBA is making a headband rule.

If this is really about respect then why not fire the dubious refs and start over.  Your WWE refs and hidden are disrespectful not a kid that plays hard every play.  Wake the heck up David Stern!

I moved to KY in June and let me tell you there are lots of C's fans down here!  I could see him hating the Lakers.

OK where is the upside NBA logo shirt in the Celtics Blog webstore?  Get it done already!
