Realistically, does anyone doubt that this won't happen again?  This team is gonna take games off, and not just a few, and focus on the long haul.  I don't like it, it's not fun to watch, but it is what it is.  Last year proved that the playoffs are all that count.

I wish this weren't the case, but this completely negates the positives we saw last night. Up by 11 against that D-League team and you lose because you still can't rebound, take care of the ball or score in the clutch? Inexcusable.

Overreact much?

Jesus this board never changes. Talk to me if this crap is still happening at during the playoffs. Then it is a problem.

2nd game of a back to back, vs. a team hungry to prove that LeBron was holding them back rather than helping them (doesn't matter if it is true or not they are playing like that).

this is a bad cavs team...no excuses..boston should have won this game

No duh. But it isn't a surprising loss at all.

Oh and the Cavs really aren't as bad as you are making them out to be. No they aren't an a top tier team but they are still a threat to make the playoffs.

yeah..they are as bad as I am making them out to be.

It's game #2 of an 82 game season.

The over-reaction to an October loss is laughable.

boston still has issues rebounding and closing out on 3 point shooters
The C's have some rebounding issues when Shaq + Perk don't play enough minutes.

Otherwise, they are one of the top rebounding teams in the league.

BBD was a -7 tonight. Interesting...
Only 5 rebounds in 33 minutes. Only 5 boards in 29 minutes against Miami.

One rebound every 6+ minutes isn't good enough.
KGs rebounding these two games has me encouraged though.

BBD is taking a step back from last year.

Pierce is probably the most vexing, I wonder if his back isn't too hot. He had little impact this game.

BBD has been fantastic this year.
I was referring to his rebounding taking a step back. He's been scoring well, but he's got to get more boards if he's playing 30+ minutes a game.

These types of losses are making me even more apathetic towards regular season basketball for this Celtic team.

Minutes Breakdown:

KG 29
PP 33
RA 35

- KG was a +6 on the floor and in the the playoffs he'll be playing a heck of a lot more than 29 minutes.

- The playoff game is more 1/2 court set.

- No back to backs in the playoffs.

It happens every year to even the best teams. If it didn't happen some team over the history of the NBA would have won 82 games.

If the better team always won there wouldn't be any reason to play the game.

Given how tough the early schedule is for the celts, I was hoping that they could get this one against a bad team.  Sorry, but the cavs are bad.

Whatever, I'm out of here. Some people here are just ridiculous. I am seriously surprised I few haven't literally cried real tears over this loss.

I have the Cavs as a 30-34 win team with a minus 3.5 to 4.0 point differential if they start Hickson and Sessions (with Mo Williams in the lineup though, without Mo they're more like a 26-30 win team).

If they bring back Jamison and Mo to the starting lineup, I think they'll struggle to 25 wins. They'd be the mid teens if not for Varejao with this lineup.

Shaq didn't look good out there. He had 2 rebounds in 20 minutes himself.
