Ok so i have a few predictions for tonight.

* Rondo will slice thru their defense and take advantage of Miami's lack of a shot blocker. He will have a near triple double and might even get a nickname from Shaq tonight.

* Ray will have his hands full with Wade on D, but then again Wade wont have such a fun time chasing Ray through those screens. I expect both players to be [dang] near exhaustion in the 4th quarter.

* Peirce will struggle against LBJ offensively, but will do a admirable job on the defensive end. LBJ will have a good game, but he will def work for his points with PP playing serious D.

* KG will have a big game against Bosh, on Both the offensive and defensive end. I just dont see how the RuPaul of Big men is going to stay with KG in the post. Bosh will score, but he will give up some major buckets to Kev.

*Shaq is going to have a FIELD DAY, on Miami's centers. Joel Anthony is only 6'9", Z is old and weak, Magloire is well...Magloire. I predict they try and hack-a-shaq. When they get in foul trouble look for us attacking the basket to get some easy FTs.

Overall, i see us winning this game. I think its known that Peirce hates Lebron, Shaq hates Bosh and KG is probably one of the most competitive people in the league. What u guys think will happen?

Predictions?

I'm going to say at least a half-dozen technical fouls will be called. Garnett, Pierce, LeBron, Shaq, Nate, and Doc are all good for at least one each.

I wonder if Stern suggested to the refs to hold back on T's in this game.  Wouldn't look great to have star players thrown out of the opening game with the atmosphere and exposure it is carrying.  Or will they follow the rules as written and we'll see a star player thrown out to make a point?

Celts win a close one, by no more than 7. Can't wait to hear the idiots on ESPN tomorrow morning "analyzing" the Heat's performance and how they might not be as good as "they predicted" because their 0-1.

If the game starts turning into a blowout, I think you'll quite likely see a star get tossed.

ESPN will NEVER do that, they'll talk about why the Heat lost vs. why we won.

You may be on the conservative side.   ;)

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I don't do predictions as far as W/L, but you are being optimistic by saying by half... I say 3 in the first 6mins. They have two notorious ft takers... look for them to take a lot. Also look for the none calls of those new tech rules on them b/c they are the "NBA's Team"... no way the refs intervene even though it's their job (supposedly)!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

I resisted posting to this thread earlier as not to jinx anything, but I made these predictions while trash talking a LBJ lover at my other job the other day

Celtics win by double digits
Rondo gets a triple double
Nate blocks 1 of the star players
Shaq/KG both have good games
Lebron get a TD(30points,10 rebounds,10 turnovers HAHA)

GO CELTICS!!!!

Almost forgot, a lost scoring game decided by defense. 70-82
Can't stop, Rondo!
