Good start.

Woodhead is really something!

Is there a way to practice fumble recoveries?  Why is the first guy on the ball so seldom the guy to end up with it?
Yup

TO try and answer your first guy usually don't end with the ball after a fumble question,i always thought its because the first guy's react with his hands first and the second with his brain first followed by his hands. In other words the first guy reacts in a split second without any mental prep.whereas the second guy has at least a full second or more to think first...or something like it."We are talking about practice, not a real game, but practice"...famous words of AI

Wow, you'd think the Chargers would have learned their "play the whistle" lesson.

There's something about Norv Turner & Wade Phillips coached teams.  Mental mistakes galore.

4 turnovers in the first half?

Pats need to pad this lead now.  They're not capitalizing enough here.

Yup.  This would stink to not win this game.  Chargers are lame.

While there does seem to be some semblance of the old Patriots teams in the sense that they aren't making mental mistakes and the Chargers are, we're clearly seeing the team miss Randy Moss.  Welker isn't getting even 1/4 of the looks he used to when Moss was here and the Chargers are able to rush Brady more now that they don't have to worry about a deep threat.

That's not to say they can't overcome that.  Hernandez, Gronowski, and Tate could all emerge more over the rest of the season and the return of Fred Taylor will eventually help.

Still, it's clear that Moss leaving isn't "no big deal."

Chargers defense is making the Pats earn every inch.  They're giving the Pats o-line all they can handle.
