Avery, if you ever read this... just take your time. Don't worry. We'll wait for you.

Yes he will.  He's young - he'll recover and come back even stronger.
In certain extreme situations, the law is inadequate. In order to shame its inadequacy, it is necessary to act outside the law. To pursue... natural justice. This is not vengeance. Revenge is not a valid motive, it's an emotional response. No. Not vengeance. Punishment.

Like the above, he's only 19 and as far as I know he hasn't had any significant knee ligament injuries. He might have done something more serious to his ankle than originally reported (What's up with the misinformation and this team?)

But as long as his knees hold a solid foundation, he'll be fine.

Off topic; Anno Domini makes some hot tracks.

Knees, back, even hips are something to worry about, but rarely are ankles career-debilitating injuries.

He will be fine, let him rest.

Reminds me so much of Russell Westbrook.

He’s fine, they just don’t want to put the kid out there at only 90% and watch him lose confidence.

I can't wait to see him on the floor 100%. I was so happy with his pick. Him and Rondo will make an amazing back court in 2013.

On in the event we keep Wafer, we would have a quite Slam Dunk squad with Nate, Bradley, Wafer and Rondo (who won a couple contests prior to the Celtics).

Quite frankly, if the C's aren't hit too hard with the injury bug, they could rehab Avery all year (not saying it needs to be done, though).

But I think he should definitely benefit from the fact that no one is going to be rushing him back.

I could care less if he never dunked the ball again. I just wish he had a point guard handle. Did not see it in his limited minutes thus far.  This could be a bust pick. Poor man's Stevie Francis.

I just hope we didn't replace a young athletic minded shooting guard with continual ankle problems and injuries for another young athletic shooting guard with ankle problems and other injuries. Here's to hoping Avery doesnt turn into Tony 2.0

Ray Allen had surgery on both ankles before coming to the Celtics that first season. He's dunking fine now.

This might be a little premature, no?

Not really...our arm-chair GM's have made their minds up within the first 30 seconds of any new Celtic's career...

The better ones can actually predict a new Celtic's career based off of draft site scouting reports.

I was so happy with this pick because my college team is Texas, and I watched this kid play. Really pumped and I think he might be the future at SG after Ray Ray goes.
