Yepp. He's coming back for the post-season run. No doubt in my mind after this cameo. Add on Doc's slip about not having him for "the first half" of the season and it's looking more and more like a real possibility.

What's this all about(Doc's slip)? Something that happened at open practice?? Explain please!!  ;)

Sheed is definitely gonna be kicking himself when our team is on it's way to another title this year.  I would still take him with that 15th spot.  He's better than Erden and I'm sure either Shaq, JO, KG, or Big Baby is gonna be injured before Perk comes back.  If he happened to play okay it would free up Baby for a trade.

Why does every thread devolve into a plan to trade Big Baby, probably our best player off the bench?

If sheed came back and perk got healthy.  Would we have the largest team in the history of the NBA?  6 guys over 6'10 and BBD. Although they would probably put Semih inactive to add rasheed.  Still huge team.

Because for this season he's kinda the odd man out in the lineup specially when perk comes back.  Now trading him might be a little premature because JO, shaq, and KG are at the end of their careers.  Which means we will need BBD in a year or two.

Possibly, but we don't have Big Baby signed in a year or two.  Which is another reason why he's a prime candidate for a trade.  I don't know that we'll definitely do it, but if we're looking for guys to move BBD is near the top of the list.

It does look like Jermaine is going to continue his pattern of missing time and never being 100%, but I'd still rather have Erden getting the time than Sheed.  At least Erden will try.

I was at the practice too, and Paul Pierce looked amazing.  He is in the best shape I've ever seen him in.

I'm not sure we have a "Need 4 Sheed" anymore

False. No matter what situation you are in, there's always a NEED 4 SHEED!!!

I also see him as very likely to sulk if he doesn't receive PT. And when Perk returns PT will be scarce.

Here's the quote:

"It’s going to be tough," Rivers said. "Think about it: We won’t have Perk or Rasheed for the first half. So I don’t know how we’re going to set it, but we’re going to have to work on it somehow."

I'm sure it was just a poorly constructed sentence, but who knows, it could have been a slip of the tongue.

Will Sheed flip the switch and decide to come back?

In all seriousness, I hope this does not become a distraction.

And no, I don't want to trade Glen Davis.

Because Shaq, JO, Delonte, Nate, and possibly Marquis are all better than him.

David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

I don't want to trade davis unless his yapping about playing time becomes a distraction.

Though in fairness he's dialed that back since doc slapped him down early in the preseason

If Marquis is really better than him, we don't need a backup 3, and thus we don't really need to trade him.

Somehow, I doubt that.

Chances are we won't get a better 3 than Marquis in return for Davis.  Then again chances are Marquis won't even be playing for a good chunk of the season.
