Danny's gamble:  known talent, questionable health is better than known health and questionable talent.  He was bargain shopping with empty pockets this summer, after all.

Marquis, Delonte, Shaq, and JO each have a history of missing time with little or nagging injuries.

Prediction:  none of them will be available for 70 or more games this season (excluding Delonte's suspension).
Yep.  We might as well get used to it.

I think I also read somewhere that Doc isn't taking any chances with injuries this season. If someone's hurt, he's not playing unless it's absolutely necessary.

Not really concerned.  Most are just minor injuries where the player would be cleared to play if the games meant anything. If you've been watching any other preseason games, you'll notice lots of players on other teams missing games here and there for the same reason.
