Players that have made me happy in preseason, more or less in order, and pretty much all due to the low expectations I had for each (with the exception of Robinson -- I had a decent expectation, but he has well exceeded them):

(1) Daniels
(2) Erden
(3) Robinson
(4) Lasme

RE: Nicknames, MSG just had a brief clip of an interview with Shaq on his new nicknames: "The Big Shamrock a.k.a. Blacky Bulger a.k.a. The Godfather of Sudbury"

The guy can still come up with a good nickname.

I'm sorry if I said this before, but the NBA has made it soooooo easy not to renew my League Pass.

If this is really how Stern wants the refs to be calling games, its going to make for a loooooooong season.

Wow ... a bit bizarre there. Stoudemire's mouth was running as much as KG's was.

I’d like to see Jermaine play with some anger down there.

What an incredibly subjective new set of rules.  Overly demonstrative?

The officials are apparently drunk on power right now.  Glad this isn't a real game or I'd be doing some T-worthy stuff here.

Anger gets you two quick T's.  ;D

I don't think they are going to continue calling T's like this after the first week of the regular season. They have to. But I think this is a classic Stern call 'em all in the pre-season to send a message and then loosen up.
