Game Notes The Celtics make their first trip this season to visit their division rivals, the New York Knicks. Both teams have a different look than they did when they met last season. The Knicks have added Amar'e Stoudamire and should be an improved team this season with him.
Again, it is hard to predict who will play and who won't in preseason games so it is hard to list starting lineups or probable matchups. This is the second of back to back games for the Celtics and the Knicks haven't played since October 6 when they beat the Wolves over in Europe. Doc sat out the top 6 players in last night's game in Philly and so we will likely see most of the veterans play in this one.
Doc has said that he will be taking a look at different lineups in this game and wants to see Jermaine O'Neal with the starting lineup and Big Baby and KG playing together especially. Doc will also continue evaluating the players who are on the bubble as he contemplates the two cuts he has to make to pare the roster down to 15.
Shaq will probably sit out this game with his balky hips and Delonte may also continue to rest his sore back. Avery Bradley reported some soreness and swelling in his ankle after last night's premiere and so may sit out as well.
