I hate to speculate too much, but I got the feeling Mike saw the same thing.  After Wafer went iso for a wreckless layup with 20 seconds left, Mike said something like "I told you so" to Tommy.  I have a feeling Mike saw the "Wafer show" coming.  This guy just seems a bit unbalanced.

Yeah maybe I'm just overreacting lol, I'm just not a big Wafer fan.  I'm rooting for Lasme for that 15th spot

I'm really pulling for Lasme as well ... still undecided when it comes to Wafer. The whole Lasme story just seems like fate is sending him our way ... I hope it happens.

I can't stand this guy's body language. I also think we might be the only team in NBA history to have too much depth at the big positions and not enough at the wing.

I agree with you that this play looked bizarre. I don't think Nate would be yelling for the ball if Doc wanted to run the clock down, but you never know with Nate.

Completely agree, for a guy who's was touted as an "energy player" in Houston, he's been a zombie on the court. He just looks completely lost out there. There's no pop in his step, he just kinda seems to lolly gag around the court.

My money's on Lasme, or even West, those two guys are all heart, but I think Lasme is the front runner, can't teach size.

Wafer's body language shows a guy who lacks confidence right now. That could change on a dime by hitting two consecutive jumpers, just ask Harangody.  I did not detect any attitude problems in Wafer's play last night. Saw a guy who hustled quite a lot.
if you didn't detect attitude you should watch game again.  He also turned the ball over a few times and seemed to blame teammate (erden was one)

I remember that towards the end of the game there was a possession where Daniels dribbled the ball on top of the key and eventually drained a jumper.

Next possession, Wafer gets the ball in the same position, dribbles for a bit on the spot, and bricks a horrible jumper before waiting for the play to develop and cutters to get open.

The guy just appears to have the need to validate himself by proving that he's the best player on the court, which is not necessarily the best approach in the Celtics field concept. And in doing this, he still hasn't figured out how he fits with the other players, or how he can help the team as a unit.

this is the one we were speaking of before where the play was to swing ball to daniels and wafer stared him off (or said something), daniels put his hands in air, wafer held the ball and clanked it

You are spectulating to much.  Mike said I told you so to Tommy because he was saying how the refs were going to keep the whistles in there mouths and let the clock run out.

The play before Lou Williams traveled and the refs didn't call anything, then Wafer drove down the lane and on the rebound Harangody fouled Maurice Speights. Mike was saying I told you so to Tommy about the refs not blowing whistles to let the clock run out and game end.  It had nothing to do with Wafer.

Fair enough.  I was certainly looking for things after his improvised ISO with a couple minutes to go that was previously mentioned.  Probably nothing to see here.  But I still just get a bad vibe from the guy.

Yeah he hasn't been living up to what I expected at all.
