Good for him.  It kind of reminds me of when Gomes (on the bench for the Celtics) got 20+pts and 10+rebounds, and yet Doc still started Scalabrine over him.  It p---ed me off!  It was a development year and yet Gomes couldn't play.

While I'm not a big Shelden fan, and obviously think Gomes is better, I think we should all remember how well he played for us the first 40 or so games of last season.

He must have gotten bilateral hand transplants over the summer.

I like Shelden and wish the best for him.  I hope he becomes a rotation player this year.  Can't say I'll miss him, however.  He didn't really win my heart like Powe or Tony Allen did.

Given that Semih Erden (who likely won't be on the active roster once Perk is back) is putting up good numbers for us, I wouldn't read too much into it.  And let's not forget the great preseason games of the past by the likes of Marcus Banks, Gerald Green, Brandon Hunter, J.R. Bremer, Jerome Moiso, Kedrick Brown, and a host of others.

Had we played Lasme any sort of minutes against the Sixers the other night, he probably would've put up those numbers.  And he likely won't even make the team.

  • You know my methods, Watson.
Ha...  No worries, he'll come back down to earth.  I don't imagine the higher altitude will help his hands any.

I think he has a spot in the nba as a 4th or 5th big.  He will never be a starter, who knows why he was drafted so high, but I like him.  ps I think Erden with work will be a very good backup center in the nba

  • You say when......
Sure, as if it is magic that sheldon playes good, when he gets to PLAY...! You know what, he wasn't using "His" hands....right...because as some said, they were cement...No, he got some new ones, yaaaa, thats the ticket....  It is just flat out obvious, and it shows where you are at if you cannot accept that sheldon is good enough, has game, Denver saw it, and the C's and Doc didn't..C's managment that is....but as I said before, Leon Powe, Sheldon, Lasme...doc and danny are guards, they don't understand the value of the reounder....other teams do. Probably why they don't expect bbd to get any either.

Nice...

Nice indeed.
I wish Shelden good luck in all his future endeavors just as I wish good luck on all former Celtics (well, Mark Blount might be a notable exception to the rule...).
Celtics fan for life.

I wish him luck, as well. I liked Shelden.

That dunk on Turiaf was a travel though. :(

Interesting theory.  Fortunately, their biases don't seem to have fundamentally crippled the team.
