In my player mode do you become a free agent and everything? Just started doing one so was just wondering.
i just finished my first season. Got drafted by the Grizzlies (25th) and was traded to the Warriors where we finished 7th in the conference. I won ROY over John Wall with averages of 17-4-7 and 2 stls and 1 blk a game.
i really upped my game in the playoffs averaging 30+ppg with around 12 assists and 4 steals and 1 block a game. unfortunately, the Thunder still bounced us out because no one could guard Durant and David Lee (i still can't believe that the Warriors GM traded away David Lee to get James Harden. what a stupid trade!)
and yea, so after one season, you can suggest to the GM who u think they should sign in Free Agency. I suggested Greg Oden for more shot-blocking and rebounding, and Thaddeus Young or Andre Kirilenko or Shane Battier. Y'know, a wing defender. Of course, the stupid GM doesn't get a wing defender. He gets Zach Randolph, a big who doesn't defend, and Shaq.
after that, i had a choice to walk away (apparently, you're a FA). There were a few other teams who were interested in me other than the Warriors, namely the Bulls, the Thunder and the Heat. Now, i don't want to back up Rose, and i don't want to join with the Thunder just because they have Westbrook and i'll always be second banana to Durant, and i definitely do NOT want to join the Heat despite it being the perfect situation for me (their best PG is Chalmers and i'm a PG with an 84 rating).
so at the end of it all, i re-signed with the warriors. I'm gonna give it a month or 2 before i ask for a trade, if things haven't improved.
