Doc seems to think Lasme has more potential at the 3 and the 4. This is good to hear at one level. Need a defender at SF that can guard larger wings. Lamse is more seasoned playing overseas as well as different NBA stops. Doc does say that they are looking for "more shooting from that position", so that may mean that Lasme's days are numbered as well - either that or he has developed his outside game.

I was rooting for Tony til I heard they wanted him to play small forward. I thought they we're wasting his time, but I'm sure he appreciated the chance to tryout and be a part of C's stretch run. Steve Lasme isn't the answer either but he can provide practice competition at least. They must acquire a player with his dimensions who can shoot.

Good Point

Will allow them to see if Marquis or Harangody can handle bigger wing players; however with Marquis' injury history, I don't see that ending well. So in a way they need Lasme until something better comes along. Where he will excel is in a fast paced line up at PF. Need Lasme's speed and athleticism and Harangody's shooting. Harangody and BBD were paired up in one of the videos, can't wait to see how that match up turns out.

I watched Lasme play here in Tel Aviv all of last year. He is a great defender for the 3-4 positions (even some 5 in europe) but offensively he is just awful. No mid range (not to mention long) no low post. he is good in transition and offensive rebounds and that is about it. No way he is NBA material...
