After the way the Nets spent their money this offseason, I am not worried about the Russian Billionaire running this team. They had incredible amounts of cap space and got what from it? Farmar and Outlaw? I hope they can add some pieces alongside of Melo to make the Atlantic Division a little more exciting, I dont know if i have too much faith in that however.

ok i agree with u there. they do need more than outlaw and farmar. But Melo knows something we dont he not going to go to a team that is trading away there best players. And u didnt even mention Brook Lopez who is a huge player in the Nets franchise.

It looks like their owner's impatience (title within 5 years?) and lack of understanding of how to build a team in the NBA will hurt the Nets for the next couple of years.

I get the feeling that he thinks he can just buy his way to success ... similar to, European football with how Abramovic built Chelsea ... rather than focusing on the NBA model of team construction.

I probably should have made it clear that I don't at all think anyone will contend with the Celtics for the division title, but the Division has certainly improved more so than probably any other division overall, except for maybe the southeast simply cause of Miami.
NY and NJ had to improve because they were so horrible as they prepared for this offseason.

But that doesn't make it a tough division, unless you mean it is one of the 6 toughest divisions.

In response to PearlJammer idk if you been watching sportscenter or reading articles but if Nets acquire Carmelo they also trying to lure in Chris Paul. So they will have there own big three. Brook Lopez, Melo, and CP3. What do you think about that?
