We aren't looking for a scorer, distributor, or post presence for the last roster spot. We need a defensive 3, who has the occasional jumper if needed.

SCALABRINE FITS THAT BILL! to back up Pierce in case Marquis gets injured or does a poor job at defending the opponent.

I'm not saying Scal is a premier defender, but come on Scal at least has basketball IQ. I'd take him any day over guys like Gaffney, Adam Morrison, Rashard Mccants, Trenton Hassell. The later 3 are players we simply don't need given our current situation with nate-delonte-wafer-marquis-bradley... we have plenty of scorers.

You're probably the first person to ever refer to Trent Hassell as a scorer.

SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas

TP for taking my words about Trenton Hassell being a scorer. He can hit a 10-15 footer alright. No 3's. But he is a good defender. And I'd prefer him over AMMO or Scal at this point. But with Wafer,Quis and Delonte...we have no room. Maybe BBD is on the block?
Can't stop, Rondo!

I agree, who'll stop Rashard Lewis when he goes off. Scal deserves pennies to return, but I want his smart play back. Baby can't even make an outlet pass for a fast break. He gonna send me to therapy, that one.

I’d rather coach Scal, but maybe after some of the veterans retire... I don’t know how seriously he’s be taken with KG, Shaq, Paul, Ray, and Jermaine being more experienced than The Red Headed Assistant.

I'm with you on Scal's basketball IQ, but I give you a "Calm Down" on who you'd take him over.

  • You say when......
Scal sells popcorn during the games to get in. That is one bucket scal can get his hands in. Maybe he can rebound the kernals...! He won't have to go into the paint (but we need him to dish that butter!) , you don't dunk popcorn, and you don't stand in the corner to wait for popcorn to come to you....Yup, Scal-the-popcorn man has my vote. Or he can do the halftime show...!

lol at Meadowlark (TP).

But seriously I'll miss Scal if in fact he's done wearing the Green Uniform. For all of his "lacks" he was still a rotation player even as of last year - then he had that bad run of concussions....

It just seemed to me that when he was in the game he just played his role, and didn't make many mistakes.

I hope scal goes to europe for a good final payday then back to boston to coach.  I like him and feel he has helped (albeit overpaid)
but if we can't do better than him for a sf backup than we are pretty bad off.  Of course scal baby could play a few posistions depending on matchups.  But big note to Adam Morrison if you can't win Scals spot than you should head to europe or russia yourself.
