Is Scal still holding a roster spot, instead of someone willing to try...? (~and get in shape and practice and develop something new..?). Scal is a total waste of a spot...I know everyone or a lot of people love his novelty act...so sign him for the halftime show..just don't put his trampoline near the paint...he won't go near it then...!

Well, that was a blast from the past, posting from my old account.  But hey, with news as huge as Adam Morrison potentially in green, it called for something big.

C'mon, Roy. Having more stars than the rest of the celticsblog posters combined doesn't mean that you can have two acconts. Or, then again, maybe it does.

I hope this isn't a stretch but I'd rather have Scal than any of those 3

Scal is a reliable defender.

His 3-point shot isn't awful. With that in mind, he won't be much of a liability this year on the 3rd or 2nd unit considering we have Shaq/Delonte/Nate to handle the ball. Scal can just spot up and shoot once in a while and he can defend really well. As your potential 15th spot on the roster, he's not a terrible defensive pickup. The other 3 are iffy options. BRING BACK SCALABRINE!!!

Scal doesn't have a contract right now.  If he comes back, it will probably be as a coach.

Well, first, thanks Roy H for the info...2nd, please...to the guy i am quoting, I mean, if you like scal, that is okay with me....But his shooting......no way. He has no shot, no %....that ball never goes in. Why would you EVER pass to that fool standing in the corner, does he think he is Ray Allen..? Scal even stated he is as good as Shaq, that would explain why he doesn't work out or improve ever...! His mind is very small, but in control of his own world. Must havbe been one of those very theatrical concussions..... The other team doesn't even cover the guy...and his D, that is one of those intagibles....yes, where you look so hard for him to do something, you make yourself see it. The court IS small, so eventually he will stand in front of SOMEONE from the other team who has the ball. Anyone who is taller, in shape, tries harder, and rebounds, also willing to enforce some (which we sorely needed vs the you-know-who's) sign 'em. Try 'em. Sure, give scal that 18th seat there, the good seats / aka "coach" of something....the Celts have play-money...!

Just dye it blond and have him give tours of the Garden as a Larry Bird lookalike.

We should sign him just for good luck.  He has more championship rings than anyone on our team besides Shaq.

Oh, man...  five Lakers rings on the team?  I don't know if that would bring good luck, or bad karma.

Besides all that, we need him just for the solid facial hair.  PPs, KGs, and Delonte's are all pretty horrible.  Which brings up a good question that probably deserves another thread.  Best starting lineup of facial hair:

1.  Baron Davis

2.  James Harden

3.  Lebron James

4.  Drew Gooden

5.  Chris Anderson

Yeah, I had a hard time deciding between Pau and Gooden for the 4 spot.  Pop's beard is truly an amazing one.  Good call.

Bad bad Karma I can see it now.

Adam and Kobe in a scoring duel in next years finals ( ;D laugh).  Adam goes for the game winner over Kobe...but instead he hands Kobe the ball.  Adam uses those Spanish Matador moves Gasol taught him to give Kobe a clear lane to opposing basket.  All the Lakers hoist him on their shoulders and celebrate  >:(
