Google Chrome 6 is Released - Supposed to be even faster.

Just heard of this and downloaded it immediately.

According to Google, Chrome 6.0 Beta is 15 percent FASTER than Chrome 5.0. If anyone has used Chrome before, it's hard to imagine that you can actually make it faster than what it already is. There are also other features. Obviously, if you download the beta, you have to deal with potential bugs, but that's not an issue for me.

Does anyone know if a faster browser like Chrome also loads Youtube videos faster, or is it just web pages?

Google Chrome is my "Browser of Choice".  Brother swears by Opera. FWIW.

I use chrome as well.  I've heard good things about Opera, but have never got around to using it.  Anyone here use opera at all?  I'm kind of interested in it.

I've been using Chrome since it first came out, and love it.  Don't need any of the extensions, just want a browser that loads fast and it clean.  My wife uses FF a lot, and maybe it's just how she has it configured, but it just sucks up a metric crapton of system resources.

Upgraded to the new Chrome a couple days ago, and it definately seems faster - especially when the computer is waking back up.

Just updated to the new version.  I love Chrome.  I used to use Firefox for a long time because it seemed better than Explorer, but then Firefox got dog slow a few months back and I switched to Chrome.  It's soooo much faster than FF. 

I really only use two extensions; AdBlock and Google Dictionary Lookup, which is really cool.  Whatever web page you're on, if you need to look up a word, you simply double click the word and a popup shows you the definition.  Very handy.

I use to use Opera primarily, then switched to Firefox. Opera is best browser for rendering pages in a larger size which is important for my older eyes. Firefox is better for having developers develop add-ons for it and in my case I can use a good password manager (Roboform) which is important since I need it. Firefox also uses more resources than Opera and can suck up RAM over time.

Tried Chrome for a little bit than went back to Firefox. I'm a lot more comfortable with Firefox. I've customized it to suit my taste. And I love the community that support it. All those Addons make browsing simpler. Chrome is faster if milliseconds count.

I use Opera on my old PC (XP) - it's faster with video than FF or explorer - but is irritating on Celticsblog Forum pages because at the page bottom it keeps jumping back up to higher up on the page...

Almost forgot.  The reason I switched from Explorer to Firefox way back when (4 or 5 years ago) was because I couldn't get the CelticsStuffLive broadcast to work properly in Explorer.  The switch from FF to Chrome was all about page loading speed, and for me, it's not milliseconds faster, but often times actual seconds faster.  I was perfectly happy with FF, but around 4 or so months ago it got markedly slower for me.  Don't know why.  Switched to Chrome and haven't looked back.
