space jam is a funny movie to reference. lots of C's games last year the chat would go:

someone: what's up with kg? he's playing like hot garbage!
IP: yeah. he's been space jammed.

Curry was so good at davidson i miss watching his college games..does anyone remember the red witness shirts people had during his college games haha....i bet if the knicks drafted curry lebron would be in new york!
What does being a great college player have to do with being a great pro player?

Adam Morrison was a great college player. What does that say for his pro game?

Stick to what the subject is, his accomplishments as a pro.

As for the best duo in the Pacific, I wouldn't put Curry/Roy at the top, but neither would I have them at the bottom.

i can't beleive you just compared adam morrison to stephen curry...that's ridiculous.
I'm not comparing Curry and Morrison. What I am saying is Curry's career at Davidson has nothing to do with the subject at hand. people can be great college players and awful pros and vice versa. Want to say that Curry and Roy belong as the top duo in the Pacific, fine. Prove your point with a pertinent argument about professional accomplishments, not what they did in college.

as a duo curry and roys games are a perfect fit for each other..that backcourt will be a lethal combination...and will score a ton of points and they both can create their own shots...Curry was 2nd in rookie of year voting and is on team usa i think he has proven hes capable of being a star.

I think he can be a star, but all these players are stars.

what has kevin martin done to be a star...i think he is a good player but not a star.

Averaged 20 ppg for the past 4 years.

What has TSeph Curry done? Made a watered down World Championship team and finished 2nd in votes for an award that carries so little prognostative value that Stevie Franchise won it over Shawn Marion and Lamar Odom.

You leave the Franchise out of this.

GOOD DAY, SIR.

I came across an interesting stat today.  The NBA leaders in double-doubles this past season were:

1. Zach Randolph - 57
2. Carlos Boozer - 55

Carlos Boozer also led all forwards in FG%.

Raise your hand if you love this combination.

I like him better next to Marc Gasol than Boozer.

Well, for part of the game, he's next to Erick Dampier.  Regardless, though, Randolph has produced everywhere he's been, whether he's next to Marc Gasol or Chris Kaman or Eddy Curry.

One thing those people have in common, they're 7 feet tall. Carlos Boozer, 6'9"

Eh...  Height is overrated.  Boozer played center last year, and played it well.

Ben Wallace is 6'8".  Chuck Hayes is 6'8".  Perk is 6'10", as is Jermaine O'Neal.  The days when the majority of the centers in the NBA were 7'0" are over.

Boozer played 30% of the Jazz' total minutes at center last year (as compared to 37% of the minutes at PF), and played well there.  The Jazz were actually better both offensively and defensively with him there.  He can obviously play the position, despite his height.

I mean, forgive me for posting this in the Pacific Division thread, but look at DeJuan Blair on your own roster.  He's 6'7", but he's your backup center.  Plausible?  Of course it is:  he played 25% of the Spurs total minutes at the position last year.  The same is true of Boozer, but for whatever reason, people seem to think he's solely a PF.

I think he can play Center, I just think his height makes for a bad fit for Randolph.

I don't remember ever saying anything bad about Dampier, and no, I don't hate him.  In fact, I like him a lot.  The only reason I traded him was because my team was hurting for depth, and I had the chance to get Big Z (a downgrade), Tyler Hansborough (an upgrade over having no backup PF), and Courtney Lee (an upgrade over having no backup SG).

Regarding whether Dampier is any good any more, he had the same rebound rate as David Lee last year, tied for 18th in the entire NBA.  He led the NBA in FG% (among players playing 20+ mpg).  He's also a very good defender and an above-average shot blocker.

Boozer can play center, but he's a defensive liability at that position against many players.

His ability to finish at the rim is also hindered when he goes against some of the better defensive C's. Though he uses quickness to get some extra easy buckets in those match ups.

I think some people get too hung up on position when it comes to the 4/5 or the 2/3.
