The signing of Delonte is intriguing, but yet confusing. Who sits? That is the question... Does this signing say that Quis and Nate are on their way out for trade with possibly Baby involved or does this signing say something else?

Will Von not see playing time now, will Luke ever see the floor, Will Avery every be on the bench and not in Maine, Will Delonte sit, will Nate get the bench treatment as he experienced last year?

Personally i'll go with a lineup of

pg:Delonte
sg:Wafer
sf:Harangody
pf:Davis
C:Shaq

OR

pg:Nate
sg:Delonte
sf:Wafer
pf:Davis
C:Shaq

I say we trade Marquis along with Avery for a pick or another player but this can't and won't happen until after December 15th. ::)

Harangody will be lucky to be on the active roster in the playoffs.  I highly doubt he contributes unless (or perhaps when) then are injuries.

Wafer has an uphill battle.  I think he's going to have to dramatically outplay West and Daniels to get a shot, as both have had far more distinguished careers than Wafer and both have better reputations on defense.  Furthermore, West's presences negates most of what Wafer has to offer (shooting), while providing a lot more (defense and ball handling).

And even then, there aren't going to be a lot of minutes.  Even if Doc is conservative with Ray and Paul, I can't see them playing fewer than 32 mpg.  That leaves a total of 32 backup mpg for both the 2 and 3 spots combined.  That's not a ton of minutes for even two guys to split, so I don't think we should be trying to get all 3 minutes.

I also don't see the 3rd PG getting all that many minutes.  Rondo is still going to play 35-36 mpg and Nate will get what's left.

Sadly, I think the "most correct" answer will be:  whichever one(s) are injured.

Haranguy will replace BBD next year after BBD gets a better offer in FA.  He will red shirt this year, learn the ropes, and get minutes next season (if any).

A healthy West beats out Wafer, IMO.

Nate knows the plays better than West due to being here last season, so he'll get minutes.

I like the flexibility; but think it could create friction due to lack of minutes. Danny has done a good job of collecting guys who can play. Last time he was able to turn that into RA and KG; but hope we don't get put in a position where we are trading away a Joe Johnson or Chauncey Billups in the process.

I expect that all will play some during the season but if I am looking forward to the playoffs, the Doc needs to bring his rotation down to nine.  I would play Delonte at back up PG and sit Nate.  So the bench would consist of Delonte, O'Neal (either one), BBD, and whoever is more deserving between Quis and Wafer.  When/if Perk comes back healthy, then someone between Perk, BBD, or the O'Neals will be reduced to garbage minutes.

So in my scenario, Nate, the rookies, Wafer or Quis, ALL sit.

Don't forget that Doc loves Delonte. I know this is a different team, but he used to play Delonte a ton back when he was on the C's, even over Rondo.
