Well, I am an American and I love basketball, so I will cheer my team on.

As far as Rondo, I have to admit that my interest dropped enormously when he removed himself from the team.  Rondo said he had a family matter to take care of, and I respect that.  I really don't care what   people are speculating are the "reasons" for Rondo not being there.  Coach K is still singing Rondo's praises, even after his self-removal, and has said he  still hopes Rondo will be available for inclusion on the Olympic Team. (I know that is not a direct invitation, and Rondo, along with everyone else, would have to go through the process again.  But that doesn't sound like hard feelings to me.)

If you are upset that some people say that Rose, Westbrook and Curry are "better" than Rondo, everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but that doesn't make it any more valid than yours.  I happen to wish Rondo had a better free throw percentage and a jumper, but I don't think there is another point guard with his  other skills and speed in the league right now.  I prefer a pass first point guard.  (I know that would be a matter for debate!)   ;D

Anyway, CelticsFan...if you change your mind, I would love to see  you.  This was a long answer to a simple "No", huh?  I guess I will put my soap box away for tonight!

This is what Coach K said about Rondo leaving :

Quote
The USA coach also talked about the departure of Rajon Rondo from his squad.

"He said he wanted to settle some personal matters in the US and we respected his wishes,” Krzyzewski said.

“He is a player who was dedicated to preparations and is a good guy. He remains in the pool of players from which to choose our team for the 2012 Olympic Games.”

So people can continue believing what they want, but I'll take Coach K's word for it.

And I'll admit that I too have lost some interest since Rondo is no longer part of team USA, but I'll continue to cheer them on for the sake of KD.

Thanks, Rashi...I am not good at putting quotes in my posts.  I appreciate you doing it.  I believe he said a little more later, but it was still along those lines.

Looks like it might be 2:00.  I am not so sure of my "time translation" as I got it off the FIBA schedule for tomorrow (21h00 GST + 3) and tried to translate it to EST!  ha ha ha And....USA is 19h00 +3, so I just added 2 hours (?) Boy, FL, you ask hard questions!

Maybe the tv sched. for ESPN will have a truer picture...I think they are broadcasting all the games, not sure though...

Besides any basketball is better than no basketball, but Celtics basketball is the best!  :D

I found this schedule on ESPN
http://espn.go.com/extra/fiba/schedule

It looks like only a few games are televised on NBA-TV and ESPN.  But it also looks like if you have ESPN 3 they are all on there.  The only Turkey game I saw televised is Thursday at 2:00 PM ET on NBA TV.
