The shot finishes smooth but the jerking motion where he brings it behind his head could become problematic.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I really don't care what it looks like. if it goes in and it looks like marion's shot, it's still all good to me.

Become Legendary.

Not the quickest release. Like you said the hitch slows things up. Certainly not as smooth as sugar ray; but as long as it goes in.

Jumper is wet D Fish does the same thing with the jerky behind the head release

WET!!

its a bit slow but as long as it goes in, ill take it =)
its not ugly like a Joakim Noah or Shawn Marion shot

the form looks good just a bit slow

to be honest i have an extremely slow release but it works for me, so whatever works for Von and as long as they go in, ill take it anyday

fun to watch.  not as smooth as ray, of course, but no one is...

This is just a mechanical run through.  He is not going full steam to replicate game situations so it just appears a lot slower.  His release isn't as fast as Eddie or Ray but he isn't definitely no this slow or as slow as TA.

Good to see the majority going in though.  Most of his shots on this team are going to be drive kick outs.  It will be nice if he plays himself into the second unit, to see a guy get a kick out from Rondo and then actually shoot the ball instead of driving to the basket the exact same path Rondo took.

well still 2 months until the season starts

we will see in training camp and pre-season what Von brings to the table...

its going to an epic battle for a spot and minutes for AB, VW and Marquis

I'm actually more excited to see Nate this season as he will learn the celtics system better than last season

I wouldn't say his jerk is as pronounced as Derek Fisher's.

I agree that I don't care about form as long as it goes it, however the better form you have the more likely it goes in consistently.

Jumper is nowhere near as far back as Fisher pulls it. DF literally hold it on his shoulder behind his head. Even Tayshaun Prince puts it next to his head. Wafer's is not that bad.

As for the speed, it looks slow. Funny thing is, his shot is that slow in 2k10 too. BUT that shot is just slow in the gym. Watch his gametime highlights. His shot is about the same speed as Pierce's.
The point of the crossover is to get your defender off balance so you can either drive in OR get of your shot without them being able to get a full jump for a block.
He can't get blocked as many times as BBD. that'd be sad
Can't stop, Rondo!

I'm trying to see what's wrong with his form, too.

Most of his shots definitely seemed to go in for sure, which I'm sure we're all happy about.

Wow.  They say it uses more energy if you leave your feet on the long jumpers.  Von Wafer doesn't seem to be tiring at all.  I hope he can do it with a hand in his face...

Very nice shooting.  Our next three point champion?

Thanks for posting the video, I really hadn't seen much of Von Wafer.  TP

After watching Harangody shoot in Summer League and inexplicably hit most of them,  I won't talk about anyone's release again.  If it goes in good deal.
