Yes.

The gun incident is extremely serious though.  Any time you're dealing with guns it's serious business.  If any one can handle Delonte though it's Doc.  You never saw these issues with Delonte come up when he was with the C's.

They were loaded!

NO!

and Luckily I think the management will agree. If he is here it is as a favor to him and his agent.

.....as long as he doesn't sleep with Rondo's mother, I'm all for it.

3 back-up 2 guards is a bit much, but he'd at least be the most proven option of the 3.  Best FA perimeter player left on the market.
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

Me.

His best years in the NBA were in Green. He didn't have any issues back then. He'll be coming to a lot more stable environment than what he had in CLE.

I believe he could come here and help us, and do fine. The man has range, can slash, and is nearly as good a defender as TA.

My only question? Would this effectively close the door on our hunt for a SF to back up Pierce? I thought that Marquis was filling that role, and I believe that he can do it effectively.

Just stay healthy, Marquis.

But as for Delonte - Yes, Indeed. Bring him back if possible.

Yes, great pairing with Nate as both can bring up the ball, shoot and play with heart and tenacity. This allows Wafer to be RA's repalcement (with RR) on the floor with his slashing and shooting ability.

We already got 2 backup SGs and no SF.  But Delonte is way better than both of them so I gotta say absolutely yes.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

I just remembered the old expression "3-guard offense".  Can a 3-guard defense work?  Ray played with nate and TA last year with the 2nd unit, so could a 6-5 and under 2nd unit get it done?, if Shaq and BBD are the bigs?

If the BPA at the wing is Delonte, and I think it probably is, and considering the team is stacked thick with bigs, and PP and Quisy get most minutes, could Doc come up with some offense that works with a small/big lineup?  I think so.  And I think it could be possible to play a fast perimeter lineup and defend by denying, stealing, staying in front, and making them take contensted jumpers from deep, that'd be a pretty good 2nd unit.

I'd rather have a big backup 3, but not if it means taking a player not worthy of the spot.

lol...I'd be more worried about Ray's mom

but jokes aside...I am all on board for bringing D-West back. He is a proven vet and has playoff experience which can come handy. Plus we will be bringing him for the vet min, so if he acts up...then we can just cut him.

OK if he accepts the minimum & can be cut anytime for any reason, accepts any role (including DNP), and drug tests whenever we want & how often we want.

If he pans out, great. If nothing else he could turn himself or another player into trade value. If not, cut him.

Some will call me crazy but still wish we had TA. His defense, athleticism, and knowing the system really helped in the playoffs.

Somewhat off topic, but does anyone else think LeBron's going to keep his mom away from any and all team functions of gatherings?
